Any chance of this ever coming out do you think? It's so rare that it would be about the only chance anyone will ever have of actually getting to play it.

I'd like to see it, but it is highly unlikely. It's a Capcom table, and FS does not have the Capcom license. It is also very rare - only 204 units ever produced - 14 originals and 190 reproductions. It would be nearly impossible for FS to get a hold of one (I don't think anyone with such a valuable machine would allow them to disassemble it). The strong sexual innuendo and copious depictions of alcohol would also force TPA to take a "T", or even "M" rating, making them no longer family friendly. This machine would be particularly problematic, as it features cartoon aliens and other things that would attract kids, but parent would not appreciate.

Yeah, count me in as someone who would love to see this but thinks it'll never happen. VP is (and almost certainly will remain) your best bet for playing this wonderful game.

I played this at the Pinball Museum in Baltimore. It wasn't on freeplay though, like the others - so I only played it once and pretty much lost all of my balls right away. Looks great though! I hope one day it might be possible on TPA.

Love Love LOVE this game. Would be awesome if FS could get the licenses for some of the Capcom tables. Even moreso than Bally/Williams titles, Capcom pins are rare as hen's teeth. BBB is one game I played extensively on Visual Pinball. It was usually BBB, then about a half an hour of Safe Cracker.

It would be real cool if Farsight could make this happen, they would probably have to do it without a real one to work from though and that would be a hard challenge for sure. Then again all the authors at Visual Pinball do it so it is possible.

It doesn't seem to me that licensing it would be a big deal. It has no movie/show/product ties. No actors or music licensing etc... and it has no huge following to make Capcom overcharge for.

As far as the table goes there is no Reason farsight couldn't purchase one (if no collector would loan it) do their work and then turn around and sell it with zero problem. They may even make a profit for "The Big Bang Bar that is actually in TPA!".

Hell, the could re-sell it with a special copy of TPa or a topper signed by everyone at farsight etc... and turn a profit on it.

In all honesty, I prefer Kingpin. However, it's even rarer than BBB (9 produced and no reproductions), so I doubt it will happen.

I read somewhere, I forget where, that a guy had invested some USD150,000 into producing 111 of these. 100 normals, 10 with gold bits and pieces and 1 for himself. By all account he wanted 50% of the cash up front and was going into production once 50% of the run had presold.....

I wonder how he got on with that.....

Also, I guess Farsight would approach him if he has the rights to produce....

Probably Gene Cunningham. He ended up making 191 complete units. There's a guy on youtube that purchased one and has a review of it. He says around three years passed between when he paid for it and when he received it, but it was a top-notch assembly job. Gene also has the only working prototypes of Wizard Blocks and Playboy (Pinball 2000).

Only ever played PacDude's VP8 BBB.
Dunno how it'd stand up to TPA...
But at the time it was GREAT!

As were his TAF, HSII, WH2O, etc.
Always LOVED BBB's MATCH animation...You'll know what I mean if you've seen it LOL

BBB is an awesome looking table. I love Chris' pinball vids also. FarSight should definatley look into attaining licences to produce Capcom, Data East, and Sega tables.

Count "me too" as one who would love to see BBB on Pinball Arcade. In fact, I'd be all for a Capcom Pack or two. Would love to see BBB, Kingpin, Airborne, and Pinball Magic. Okay, all are rare, especially Kingpin & BBB, but the licensing might not be too tricky, as they aren't movie/TV licenses, and there is the outside chance that they could manage to "borrow" (rent, might be more like it) the rarer machines for the sake of "preserving" them, if they could find the right owner(s) with the heart to let others play a digital version of their rare toys. A real long shot, for sure, but hey, nothing wrong with voicing the "want".

Oh, and I absolutely second the notion of FarSight managing to release something from Capcom (above listed), SEGA (Goldeneye, Batman Forever), Data East (Tommy, GnR, R&B&F), and I'd throw Alvin G. (Mystery Castle), Zaccaria (Farfalla), and Game Plan (Andromeda) in there for the sake of an interesting variety, and a broader representation of pinball's past. I've thought about starting a thread about it even... may just do that... at some point... eventually...

BBB also faces another obstacle - the sexually explicit content and copious depictions of alcohol use would make this an "M" rating. This is fine if an "M" rating is inevitable (a "T" GTA ain't gonna happen), but in TPA's case it would only shrink their market of potential customers. FS evidently agrees, going as far as hacking the roms to remove the swear words from MM, even though these are bleeped anyway in all official releases, just on the off chance that someone will hack it and remove the censorship. While BBB isn't the first game to feature innuendo (Scared Stiff is loaded with it - especially the good and bad dead heads), in most other cases it is innocent enough (or maintains sufficient plausible deniability) to keep it in the "T" territory. However, BBB's tube dancer alone likely pushes things too far. Most parents I know might not mind their child playing SS, as the sexual references would probably go right over their little heads (if not, it's not the game's fault), but the "porno moans" and "sexually charged voice" issuing the instructions during the tube dancer mode will probably upset parents.
