I learned recently of Pinball Groups, where owners and fans arrange meetups and play real pinball! If anyone knows of any, post them here, along with any details that might prove important - any dues, size of group, whether ownership is a requirement for membership, and anything else important.

Hey All - I'm in the UK and have been in touch recently with 'Northern Lights Pinball' http://www.ukpinball.com/

You can contact them for UK wide details of who / where to contact by emailing to this address info@ukpinball.com
(This is the address recommended for Chris & SquareWire too)

They are amazingly helpful and really friendly (I've already had an invite to go play).
Make sure you go to their Facebook page and give them a like too! www.facebook.com/NLPinball

Some upcoming UK events are.....

Naw - as you know I'm not a Facebook fan, but these guys are so friendly, and it would help them out if you did.
Go on - give em a like.

I went to one of the North West league meets at a members house this year and would highly recommend it, unfortunately due to being on a tight budget i had to choose to work over time over going to the other meets. Going to a league meet only costs around £2.50 to help to-wards running the league and the owner providing refreshment. The one that i went to the Guy had 11 tables all in superb condition. Tables are all on Free Play. As you can imagine with free Pinball it can some times get rather busy :D

They are an amazing group of people, and so generous.
The organiser has put me in touch with a local guy in my town, who has a private collection of machines, he emailed this poor guy in the middle of his holiday, who emailed me back to come round for a brew and a go on his machines.
To be so kind as to invite a total stranger to play your machines, and to regularly organise and set up public events - these guys really are fighting to preserve pinball. Amazing.

What is wrong with people in my town? A guy has a bunch of awesome machines - Addams Family, Attack From Mars, Lord of the Rings, Taxi, and a few others, sends out an invite to come play, and only two people show up!

I wish someone in my town would invite me to a gig like that. Only 2 show? What a bummer.
