Google Play update vs. Amazon Appstore

This isn't a complaint, just a question. I feel bad for you guys with how much flak you've been taking.

Why is there a week or longer between TPA getting updated in the Google Play store vs. Amazon appstore? Most other apps I can think of usually get updated in both stores the very same day.

As I understand it - Amazon App Store has a vetting/approval process - similar to Apple. In fact, I heard that they are INSISTING on "excellent" display on Kindle Fire before they will let it in the store.

Google Play? The author can release the product immediately with ZERO approval process.

Google Play - i just hit a button and in 30 minutes its up.

Amazon Store - I have to submit everything for approval which can take 1-1.5 weeks.
