They didn't say two "surprises". They said two "announcements". The first announcement was that the Star Trek Kickstarter was successful. The second announcement was Elvira.
"We have two exciting announcements today! First, thanks to the generosity and dedication of our backers the Star Trek: The Next Generation pinball Kickstarter project has reached it's goal! It's fitting that today is the 46th anniversary of the airing of the first Star Trek episode. We're proud to carry on the Star Trek legacy- on behalf of the entire team here at FarSight Studios, thank you for backing us! Star Trek: The Next Generation will definitely be coming your way!
We've been hinting that we'd make a licensing announcement if the project was successful, so here it is. We are excited to announce that we've signed a license with Elvira, Mistress of the Dark to bring the amazing Scared Stiff and Elvira and the Party Monsters tables to the Pinball Arcade! Elvira has been a longtime friend of pinball so this was not as difficult a license as the Twilight Zone or Star Trek. Consequently we don't need another Kickstarter campaign to fund it- it's definitely going to happen! Check out the video below!"
