DAE notice that the front panel texture says 25¢ on the coin slots?

The table history flavor text they included for Black Hole specifically mentions that this game is historic for being the first to successfully charge 50¢ per play, and then if you look around at the front panel while plunging the coin slots are marked 25¢. Obviously not a big deal, but it seems kind of weird given that they went out of their way to point out the price.

I guess quarters where so common in arcades, so the coin slots said 25 cents, which meens you paid with 2 quarters for 1 game...

I also think it was up to the operator if he wanted to charge 50c.

The coin mechanisms were all the same. They always took quarters. When games went to .50, you just had to put two in. Now .75 is the norm for new games and you put three. Pretty soon, they'll take a debit card. If everyone keeps making games that cost over $7000, the ops won't have a choice.
