What do you listen to while playing?

It varies for me, but lately Santana has been setting me up with some nice high scores. It's impossible not to feel the rhythm when it comes to Santana, and the grooves are out of sight. Just improved my TOTAN and RBION scores tonight thanks to stuff like this:

I work next to (and with) an IT department in the company I work for, and when people return their company laptop's for repair / upgrade I generally have a nosey for an iTunes folder. So I have quite a lot of music (couple of TB's) all held on USB hard drives (I know it's illegal - but I can live with myself - and do legally own a largish collection of my own).

Stuck a 32gig card in my phone, rammed it full of music off my remote drives (this regularly gets changed) and now like to plug it into my xbox, whack it on random shuffle and play pinball.

I listen to rock or metal mainly, but a lot of other stuff too.
I'm near Manchester (UK) which is great for live gigs, so what I listen to tends to be influenced by what I'm going to see / or just been watching. Last one was 'Therapy?' a couple of weeks back.

Nothing on the horizon due to Christmas commitments (+ mates being away) so was enjoying 'Metallica' 'Creed' 'Killswitch' 'Rob Zombie' 'Stone Temple Pilots' last night whilst playing the new Zen PBFX2 tables.
I regularly revert back to my mid 90's heydays with 'The Wildhearts' 'Three Colours Red' 'Janes Addiction' 'Nirvana' and a few others though.

I love the classic stuff too 50's 60's 70's. There is not much I don't like other than Jazz really.

Pinball and classic Rock - nothing goes better with Nostalgia than more Nostalgia.:)

Couple of really great Android apps (may also be ios supported) for streaming personalised radio, I use all the time are....

Jango:-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jangomobile.android

Raditaz:-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...e&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=raditaz+android

Both of these are great - Jango slightly better.
You start with a group you like, then it randomly picks songs you might like (you vote during the songs), or you can enter additional artists, then build up a personalised list of groups you like.
No adverts in either, both are free, all legal, and a great way to discover some good music.

I play in silence. The consequence of that... For the past 2 weeks, I keep humming Golden Earring all day, everyday. At least I'm off Red River Valley.

I haven't tried either of those, but they sound like Slacker Radio, which I love.
