Bug? Button doesen't award points

I don't seem to get the points I'm supposed to get off the button in the upper middle playfield. It only awards 1000 points a hit, no matter if the light for 10 000/30 000/50 000 is on.

Ipad4.

It's not a bug. Because of the placement of those lights, I used to think the same thing. That target only scores 1000 pts. no matter what. The 10k, 30k, 50k lights are only indicators of the bonus points you get for completing the "Fire" "Power" lights... and they should have been placed somewhere else on the table.

This is famously confusing. It really looks like those lights have something to do with that target! I wonder if it was originally intended to do something else.

I wonder if it really was intended to do what we all think, but they found it too easy to spam.
