Submitted respectfully for your consideration... Since original DX9 and SM3 (11 and 9 years old respectively) era devices
In addition to post processing on/off, since the ball itself seems to be a big performance hit (cuts framerate in half on lower end gpu's)
-Ball Shadow on/off
-Ball Reflection on/off
or maybe just a "Basic Ball Render" that excludes shadow/reflection
