It's now official, the Vita will be a recipient of the so-called Super Patch as well; see the "Happy New Year" post (emphasis mine):

PS3/PS Vita : Mega Patch : FarSight is still working on artwork corrections, bug fixes and tweaks that they would like to include in the Mega Patch and hope to be done with the patch soon. They plan to submit to Sony in early 2014 and hope to have the patch rolled out first quarter 2014.

The PS Vita is finally getting some respect , and sales are up . As of now I use mine primarily to listen to OLD TIME RADIO on a new app they came out with . and Dragon's Crown , the super patch will give this game a shot in the arm .

Maybe, but it seems like they would basically need to rebuild the entire game to fix the mountain of bugs and to get the graphics back to the quality of the original launch.
Honestly I can't see that happening. We'll see though.

I haven't seen FS nor any dev for that matter give two ****s about the Vita since launch. I guess we're lucky they supported the platform at all. Its just disappointing because the hardware so obviously capable of doing sooo much better. I really regret buying mine. That'd turn around if I had some decent support for it, but if it hasn't happened yet, I don't see it happening soon.

I just hope they fix the slow downs. But i do not see how they can make it 60 fps instead of 30 what ever it is i hope they fix it.Some of the tables play great on the vita .But i would say a little more than 1/4 of the tables have this very slow ball movement Like BK. S.S. I wont even play them no more until they are fix.And i hope this wont take all year to fix

Dr Dude seemed slow as well. That is, before it started crashing my system.

I really hope the "patch" fixes a lot of issues. I finally downloaded Zen 2 the other day, and it's really good. I prefer the TPA tables, but Zen looks better, they got the portrait mode right(it's so simple), and it's fun to play.

I also agree with gypsyshred that the Vita is capable of so much more. I don't regret buying mine, but it's just a shame that the Vita version doesn't look nearly as good as ANY other platform. It looks like it belongs on the PSP. I read somewhere on here that the Vita version does't even touch the graphics processor, which, if true, is very disappointing.

yeah the slow dows are my main issue. season two had less tables with a "slow ball", i refuse to play them except for Tee'd Off because i like that one and it's not Completely horrible. i hope they fix it soon because like you said, a bunch of them are unplayable.

Yes it is. It's not as realistic as TPA, but its fun and gives you some variety. Think of it as an arcade game version of pinball.

The portrait mode rocks.

Thanks Kratos3 for letting me know.I played pinball fx when it first came out and i did not like it at all.But i just tried it again and i see that they have improved a lot of things in a great way. I just bought all the Star wars tables they are unbelievable. i do prefer the real tables .But i am becoming a new fan of these kind of tables thanks again.

You bet!

The Balance of the Force tables are good and they look great! IMO, TPA needs to look at least this good. Hopefully with the "patch."

Yeah from a presentation, graphics, options, polish and user-interface perspective Zen 2 is worlds better than TPA. There really is no contest, they are simply leagues better when it comes to programming skill and quality in their work.
A lot of people don't like the made up, non-real tables, animated characters, or the overly easy ball physics though which are valid reasons. A lot of people dislike it simply because they're fanboys of TPA and Zen is "the competition" though.

Still, there is no question that if Zen were actually the ones designing and programming TPA that it would be a much better product than what Farsight has given us.

i agree 1000%. and man, if their ball physics werent so simple, we'd be living in a perfect world. thats the main thing that throws me off, i bet id like the made-up tables just as much as the real pins if it wasnt for their physics...

I'm playing way more Zen these days than TPA. I have a feeling I will until "The Patch." Which, at this point, is really going to have to be very impressive.

Like Metalzoic said, Zen is just a better, more polished product on the Vita.

I hate to say it but me to after playing zen with no slow downs and such smooth game play along with the portrait .You know sometimes i think f.s is in over there head by putting there product on every console etc.I think they should get it right first on each platform be four jumping on to the next ship now maybe they feel like the Germans did in ww2 now they are fighting on all fronts and do not have manpower to hold their lines.Fix the Vita please and give us an update
