While the official announcement concerning the next Stern game is expected soon, the PinGame Journal presents these images while members of the design team take a look at the new cabinets that just arrived. I know, you can't see the game name or artwork but this is the only way I can show the photos till the press release is released ... but that should be by next week. Stay close.

Definitely looks like something Marvel-ish....some are speculating X-Men or The Avengers.....the colors look like Spiderman, but would they really do another Spidey machine already? (I guess I thought the same thing about the upcoming movie though too, heh). So I'm thinking maybe The Avengers.

It does look like spidey colors but, really, another Spider-Man so soon. I know the movie is coming out and all but isn't nearly as anticipated as The Avengers or The Dark Knight Rises. I'd sooner see a table based on Prometheus. :)

Also, someone mentioned Resident Evil as well on another thread and I had heard rumors of a zombie themed game on the Pinball Podcast.

This reminds me of trying to see porn through a scrambled satellite feed ' if you squint you can see......' :D. You probably have to be at least 40 to get that joke. Farsight have said its possible but wouldn't it be really cool to have a TPA release to coincide with a brand new table?

A couple other pin sites have been talking about X-Men being the strong possibility. I could see that with the colors. Hopefully, comic based and not movie. Some original artwork would be nice.

It almost looks like Magneto's head on the top of the backbox art.

Those swirls on the side of the backbox should look familiar to anyone who's owned Twisted Metal 2 on the Playstation.

Is that video legit? Why would they release X-Men - that's so last year. Avengers are hot right now - that's a table that would make a lot more sense.

Zen's license is only to make original digital tables. If they held all the rights then Stern would not be able to produce a real table in the first place. Farsight has rights to reproduce any Stern table as long as they can obtain the ancillary licenses. It is possible that Disney would not give them any consideration or price them out of the market but being the money loving corporation they are, I assume they would be open to anything.
