Bobby King from Farsight has graciously agreed to do a regularly scheduled forum interview, where we get to nominate and then vote on 3 questions for each session!

So now it's time to start posting your questions for Round 2.

This thread will be open for about a week (or UNTILL we get too many questions, whichever comes first), and then I'll pick 20 questions and create a new thread with a poll for voting on which 3 questions Bobby will answer. If your question doesn't get picked this time around, don't worry because this will be a reoccurring event, so you can always resubmit your question for the next round.

Well theres still a lot of questions left over from the first round which I would personally like to see answered like how many staff at FS, how many pin tables, how long to create a table etc so you may as well start by dropping all those questions in there.

Do you plan on doing a Kickstarter for every major licensed table or will it depend on how well The Twilight Zone and Star Trek : The Next Generation sell when they are released?

Yes, feel free to repost questions from the first round that didn't get answered or that didn't make it to the poll.

Would you consider developing a customizable arcade room for TPA? This would give people a way to create their own little arcade with a personal touch. An example of this would be if say you achieved a certain standard goal, you unlock a neon sign for the arcade. Or if you finish all the wizard goals for Gorgar, you unlock the advertisement poster for it to put up on a virtual wall. You could make the arcade itself DLC, but all the stuff in it could be earned or something to that effect.

I always thought the Williams collection arcade had a lot of potential, this would take it to the next level.

Round 2 questions

1. How many people does farsight staff currently? How many assigned to each platform? Is there a person solely assigned to handling community communication on sites like Kickstarter or FB?
2. Why does Facebook get more love from you guys than we do as far as announcements and replies to user posts? What do we gotta do to get some of that?
3. How long from start to finish does it take to complete a single table? What part takes the longest?
4. Detail the licensing process for us. Is there a person who handles just tracking and securing the licenses?
5. We know that TZ and STTNG each cost 55k in licensing. How does that compare to the cost to license Cirqus Voltaire or Creature from the Black Lagoon? Newer tables like Stern's Tron?
6. Has the process of replicating a table gotten easier/faster with each table you've done? How so?

Thanks!

Will we see tables from other manufacturers, such as Data East, Capcom, and Jersey Jack?
Speaking of JJ, is the Wizard of Oz a possibility?

Any chance you could negotiate down licensing by getting several from the same licensor at once such as the current dealings with Paramount or potentially future dealings with Lucas?

Will we see a free roaming camera mode so we can zoom in and better appreciate and study the artwork and table designs?

Flippers and bumpers in real life are loud and clear, any chance of implementing a simple mixer for mechanical vs electronical sounds?

Why has handheld devices got top priority for releases and not the really powerful machines like consoles/PC?

This has been answered multiple times. The games come out at different times becuase of the differing approval processes. Handhelds have not been given top priority.

I have a question. Are there any Steve Ritchie games planned that aren't in Pinball Arcade? Is Flash possible?

In round 1, Bobby King answered the following question:
1.) Will operator's menu or tournament mode settings ever be implemented into every table?
But his answer was only about the operator's menu, not a tournament mode.
I would like to see a question only about a tournament mode.

Perhaps with a screenshot facility? - Similar to WipeoutHD on the PS3? (Maybe as a feature/unlockable/reward for a future Kickstarter?)

When is Farsight going to hire a PR/Marketing manager? You guys need someone desperately.

When is Farsight going to adopt a proper forum format?

what is up with www.farsightstudios.com ? It looks like it was made by a 12 year old.

Are reversed tables going to be implemented at some point in the future?

Has Farsight ever looked into the possibility of releasing an arcade version of TPA similar to UltraPin?

I think the community would boost if there was a table editor where users could create their own tables and share them. Have you considered this?

Not a question, but can somebody who can contact farsight tell them about Gamersgate, it seem it's exactly the kind of distribution platform they are looking for.

As for questions:

1. Is it possible to get a time-frame for the release of the PC version? Say earliest mid-July latest mid-October.

2. When are you planning to start working on the physics to make the ball/flipper interaction more realistic?
