highly subjective question man.
for example to you have a real world preference for a certain era of table or would you like a decent mixture of all eras?
my advice would be to play the demos of a season in order and see what one you want the most.

For a brand new player, I'd start with Season 1, both because it has a lot of the "famous" tables (Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Scared Stiff, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, FunHouse, etc.) in it, and the game was tuned somewhat easier back then.

Season 1 without a doubt - unfortunately Season 2 is back-loaded with some pretty poor tables (Goin' Nuts, El Dorado being the chief culprits).

I agree with the wise folks above. Season 1 is a great mix of pins.

To start, Season 1 for sure.
Some tables aren't all that easy, but most are really forgiving.
Overall you get some great tables, Medieval Madness, Star Trek: TNG, and Attack from Mars
22 of them as well.
