2016-Aug-26 20-minute tournament: EBD, PZone, Diner, LCA, JY, FT, CBW, EDCoG

The next 20-minute tournament is due to start today, with these tables:

Party Zone (Season 4, Table Pack 32, last seen in the 2015-Aug-28 tournament)
Diner (S3, TP29, 2015-Aug-28)
Lights...Camera...Action! (S3, TP27, 2015-Sep-25)
Junk Yard (S3, TP26, 2015-Aug-01)
Fish Tales (S3, TP21, 2015-Sep-25)
Cue Ball Wizard (S2, TP20a, 2016-Feb-26)
El Dorado City of Gold (S2, TP20b, 2015-Sep-25)
Eight Ball Deluxe (S6, TP53, NEW) (or Champion Pub on PSN)

So it's Revenge of Season 3, or of last Aug/Sep tourney tables, or of Gottlieb tables (2016-Apr-01 is the last tourney with three Gottliebs).

These are some pretty unpopular tables, but that's OK with me as we've had several tourneys in a row now that have been packed with classics.

I'll guess EBD has a high of about 25M, and someone besides Tarek or Dizzer2012 breaks 20M on it in Steam Gold.

My strategy on PZone, Diner, and maybe LCA is not settled, or maybe I just can't remember it. Maybe CBW, too. Perhaps FT and JY. EBD and EDCoG should have a straightforward 20-minute strategy.

It is indeed 10 minutes on PC. Well I like the variety, but hope it isn't a permanent change. At least it's not 5 minutes.

Ball 1, knock down 1-7, get the 8-ball, drain.
Ball 2, do the same.

Now 112K super bonus is lit on Ball 3.

Get 5x bonus, and keep hitting 8-ball / corner pocket to rack up 5x bonuses. Maybe try to keep 6 of the 7 1-7 drops knocked down for an additional 6x7=42k, giving (112+42)x5 = 156x5 = 780k per shot to the corner pocket.

Don't be distracted by getting the extra ball from the left lane, the plan is to keep ball 3 in play for the full remainder of the 10 minutes.*

Overall worked last tournament in app but no way to see scores on individual tables.

However for this tournament I submitted 4 scores and nothing is showing up in the app or the website. I'm going to hang back in case they have to hit a reset...

The time limit puts an interesting twist on this tournament, then again maybe FS knew some people didn't want to be playing for 20 minutes with these table selections.

Not a big fan of any of these tables but as of now I'm on top of the leader board in EDCog.

I'm sure I won't be on top for long.

I like my EBD score. That was a good game. Drained ball 3 with 1s remaining to collect a final big bonus and push me over 10M. Don't forget, the nasty rollover detection bug probably applies to EBD: if you roll it, make sure you finish the game by draining ball 3.

Simple strategy. Hard to execute. The extra ball may be worth the time due to the insta-drains this table doles out fairly frequently.
