I, for one, am extremely happy about the news. The way that Farsight has handled the quality control of these tables over the past 4+ years has been an abomination.

On the PS4 side, the sound effects were broken for years, and once they finally fixed it, they broke the lighting on the tables for years. That's not to mention how long the game wouldn't track friends' scores, which is something the release on the last generation of consoles was able to do.

All the fake promises and finger pointing (except at themselves) really burned me out on what was once one of my favorite franchises going back to the PS3. Yeah, the last few months have FINALLY brought about some improvements, but perhaps that was only because they saw this day coming as they scrambled to get their act together. Too little, too late.

Sure, plenty of games stop getting tech support as they age, but they had no problem releasing new tables and taking people's $$$ while the overall engine was so shoddy on some platforms; reap what you sow. For the past few years I was rooting for some company to take over Farsight, but seeing them lose their most important license is the next best thing.

So maybe the license will now go to someone that will actually try to maintain at least a basic level of quality like we see in tables from non-authentic pinball game makers, but even if that doesn't happen, I'm not going to feel bad for FS at all. I've learned my lesson:

Im really angry, FS! Your „preservation” mission is BS, please remove it, it makes me angry reading it now. And this casual bs, our licence run out, ups it was coming. Sorry but how come you so casual about it like it was coming and its so obvious, but you give such short notice. This company is truly ugly piece of ****, and it makes me happy in a way this is begining of the end. Maybe this „preservation” mission will be picked up eventualy by company which really care. And for all of you which like to defend them, and say they are good guys which love pinball. No they are not, and they dont. Think about Medieval Madness as an example, this is one if not, most popular and loved pinball tables. Look at it! This table have broken lighting, and this „preservists” let it to be like this, and more i was told it will stay like this because they dont have time. Rip FS

Companies don't typically announce that a license they have, which they want to renew, is about to run out, until after negotiations for renewal have broken down. Because anything else really wouldn't make much sense.
As for being casual, what are they supposed to do? They're a business. Throwing a giant social media tantrum isn't really an option for them. It's ****ty news, but they had to convey it in a sensible manner.

This isn't a defense of FarSight. It's pretty much common sense.

So,I just woke up to this news. Sad,but not too surprising.

My question is for the PS4/Xbox One platforms. PS4 is still missing Banzai Run from S7. Xbox One is still missing Spanish Eyes,Wild Card,Pistol Poker,Sorcerer, & Banzal Run. Will those tables still be released for those platforms? Specifically for the people who already bought Season 7 passes (like myself)?

Banzai Run will be releasing later today on PS4. Don't know what is going on with XB1 version.

Just for fun, there's TPA's lineup to attract new players after June 30th.

This is pure sarcasm. They won´t find new customers with these mostly inferiour, mostly Gottlieb-tables. TPA is dead.
Following your list, imo only Ghostbusters, Frankenstein and Ripley are tables belonging to aTop-list.
I´m so sad about this downfall.

This is sad, but it isn't as if the tables we paid for will disappear. I am disappointed that I won't be able to play this on Switch, as that was my route to Season 7 and I convinced myself to get Season 1 as well, but that is no longer possible. I will be interested in the price points on Switch.

FS did an incredible job of giving us most of the best tables ever made in pretty good working order (minus Black Knight). We still have them and it looks like FS is moving forward, heavy on Stern. If they just release Monopoly, I'll be quite happy.

Also, I appreciate finding out before hand, instead of after the fact. FS didn't need to do that.

Have Williams found a company that aren't total f**k ups to work with? Like Zen perhaps. Far Sight couldn't run a piss up in a brewery. If they have lost it it's because they deserved to lose it. FarSight were the most inept games company I ever encountered.

While the news that FarSight is losing the Williams/Bally license is upsetting, please refrain from the attacks.

Consider this the one warning - posts that are simply attacks on FarSight from here on will be deleted, and warnings issued.

At least I have a good chunk of Williams tables on the Steam version (seasons 1-5) and season 1 for PS4. I was also surprised to see the DX11 version start running smoother on my lowly laptop recently. Too bad about the Switch, but at least there's Stern Pinball Arcade.

There’s plenty of old gottlieb tables that are fun, simple, yet challenging to play. I like Queen of diamonds. It’s from the late 50s or the early sixties. I’m not sure.

Does anyone know how the fix for Mac is going? I have all those tables there but can’t currently play them. Total crash.

I'm not sure sure why anyone on this forum would be upset at this news.

1. Any pinball aficionado worth their salt will have bought most if not all of these tables.
2. If you've bought any of these tables, you have them. They are yours for life.
3. Farsight have stated they will continue to support the tables in the future.

There is perhaps some concern that the proposition for new customers won't be as attractive in the future, which may put Farsight's enthusiasm for future support, but you can't live life worrying about what might happen in the future.
