With everyone struggling to just purchase the darn tables, it's ironic that once I opened all the tables by grinding, I stopped playing the app altogether.

Ha me too! I mean what’s the point. Play for fun?
Looking forward to the next table pack.

I’m right there with you. Grinding might suck, but it’s what also motivates daily play.

Email support @ support@zenstudios.com

Do it from within the app: Settings (top-right "gear" icon on main screen) / Contact Us

This will include all of your device's info as well as user ID, etc. to give them important info they will likely need.
Example of mine:

GameTitle:Williams Pinball
GameVersion:1.0.7
DeviceType:iPad5,1
OSVersion:12.1.4
DeviceID: (deleted)
UserID: (deleted)
AppID:3984

I copied and pasted my info from the email that is generated on the iPad to my email client on the PC so it's easier to compose the email.

The more people that contact them, the better. Maybe they'll realize they have a problem with this whole table purchase mess.

Thanks MadS

Too many messages for me to comment on anything specific, but I had to delete the zen Williams app on my iPad. It's unplayable as a pinball sim, and the grind is a ridiculous idea.

I've actually found myself playing TPA even more since the physics are so much better. Having played a number of these IRL, I can definitely vouch for the physics.

That’s what I don’t want to happen. Like being force fed steak every day for a month until you don’t want to see a steak again.

Well, I made it to the Diamond 3 tier and placed 3rd overall on League Play (Android) and never got to open my case for my reward.

That was a disappointing waste of time and 3,000 tickets.

On top of that, I was never offered the timed offer to purchase all 7 tables at a discount.

You will get access to the simulation physics in the upper tiers.

These physics are fantastic, and make TPA physics feel terrible in comparison.

Frustratingly you can't get access to these physics until you clear the rather preposterous IAP unlocks to get to this level.

I wonder if Zen should have allowed you to play the game unrestricted for let's say 5 days and then lock the game down so you could understand what you're working towards?

League play is wonky right now. It's on "Season 2" but it appears to be only crediting me points for the last game I played, not the total of all games.

Also on the leaderboards my points total for Season 2 is the same as I finished Season 1 with.

And I didn't get the reward case either (in my case, for Gold 3).

Well, Zen finally got in touch with me via email and asked me to try the app again to see if the offer is there. Trouble is, I don't have access to the iPad until later today. On a whim, I tried it on the iPhone awhile ago and still nothing. Then I tried it a few minutes ago and it's now available on the iPhone at least. I'll have to try later on the iPad to see if it shows there.

If you're having problems with the offer not showing for you, contact Zen via email (email them from the Williams app so your specific device info is included (as I showed in one of my previous posts) and hopefully they will fix the issue for you.

I think anything that would at least let you try the real physics would be outstanding. I get their mobile model is going for the cash grab, but the way it's currently structured will alienate a lot of players IMO.

I would love to directly compare a table or two since I own so many on TPA. I think I own everything available on Zen except for Black Rose. Whether it's a timed trial or a single ball trial, it would be enough for me to give it some consideration.

Why so many knocks on the TPA physics? I still don't get that. To me a "floaty" table is simply one with a more level play field, vs one at more of an angle. I'm not a fan but it could always be worse. As I said, I've played more than a few of these IRL, and they play true.

Here's what's happened to me. I used to love TPA physics. So much so that I couldn't play Zen tables any longer. The ball felt like lead. Fast forward to Zen releasing the Williams tables. After grinding for weeks to get the tables, I'd gotten accustomed to the Zen physics. And now it's the TPA physics that feel floaty. What's worse, since I was forced to grind using the Zen physics, the more realistic sim physics that I fought to get access to also feel too floaty to me now. I kinda wish Zen flipped it so the sim physics were the default and the Zen physics were what was to be earned.

That's a very interesting observation! I really appreciate that.

As arcade pinball tables they are fancy and flashy and well done. You have me craving a real physics zen table, but I probably won't see one with the current setup.

If they release a favorite and make it available for purchase I may bite. Do they have a schedule of upcoming tables available?

TPA physics are fine, and there's not a huge difference between them and Zen regular physics, though I quickly preferred Zen's ball behavior. Once you play the Pro physics, it becomes night and day between what FarSight and Zen did. The biggest difference for me is that with Zen the ball feels like it is making actual contact with the table at all times, and ball speeds change up all the time. With TPA the ball suddenly feels like it is on ice, gliding over the surface instead of rolling. Ball speeds seem artificial and dictated by preset conditions. There is also the issue of ball trajectory, where in TPA it can be very predictable while Zen has managed to introduce a variety of ways a ball might react. This is not limited to Pro physics either, but across the board. I'll give you an example...

In Medieval Madness after making the castle lock or having the ball go into the moat, it ejects from down the left side of the table. I have seen the ball randomly go:
- past the slingshot, dead pass from left to right flipper
- past the slingshot, dead pass from left flipper to a higher bounce that might contact the right slingshot
- brush the left slingshot and activate it
- past the slingshot and sdtm
- past the slingshot and into a cradled left flipper
- past the slingshot and bounce off a cradled flipper up and into the left inlane

Now try doing that in TPA. You'll either always be able to cradle the ball in the left flipper or it will always dead pass to the right and land in exactly the same spot every time.

If you play the Pro physics, there's an even larger variety of things that can happen.

Rather than give people a quick short taste of the Pro physics, I think the daily challenges could sometimes make use of them, as well as the enhanced graphics. That's a 24 hour window, and then it's gone again or applied to a different table. Think about it, the challenges are labeled as Basic, Advanced, and Pro already. Make advanced get use now and then of the Pro physics and enhanced visuals.

I'll check that out.

On TPAs side, I like that when a ball exits some ramps it doesn't always come out the same way. Sometimes it's smooth and sometimes it catches the edge for some extra spin.

I've also noticed on older tables with kickout holes, the ball doesn't always take the same path, which accurately reflects the different ways a ball can sit.

I have had problems on a couple of tables where I could launch the ball, and it would take the exact same path every time. Very disappointing.

I can't see the rest of your post now, but I find on the TPA tables, shots are difficult to place because it's pretty exacting. The zen arcade setup seems to make perfect ramp shots very easy and the acceleration of the ball is nuts.

I haven't experienced anything I would consider "glide" in TPA. In any case, I'm going to refer to your post when I test that table later. Thanks!

I know I defend TPA a lot, but even through the mistakes I feel like they've put a lot of hard work into their tables and did a good job giving fans what they wanted. Just having eight ball deluxe and Xenon makes me happy.

I think in Android League Play, it uses Tournament-setting physics with a higher table rake, at the very least.

Try making the left orbit to the lock on HS2 in Arcade play vs League play and you'll see what I mean.

I heard back from Zen as well. Received an email that said to check again. Got home from work today and it was there as soon as I opened the app. All 7 tables for $19.99. So I purchased them. Sale went through fine and opened up all tables.

So for anyone out there looking to just purchase the tables and didn’t receive the offer, just use the contact button in the app and let them know you didn’t receive the offer. The nice folks at Zen will help you out.

So I've played medieval madness on the Williams app and on my iPad.

In terms of lighting, Zen wins hands down. Their tables look beautiful.

In terms of that particular example, I'm just not seeing it. Your observation about how the ball acts in TPA is correct, but not unrealistic. There are a number of variables in play. The angle of the virtual table and the strength and angle of the kick come to mind.

Playing the grind version on Zen vs the TPA table, I get so much more action on the TPA table. The ball just seems to deaden at times on the Zen table.

And I hate the ball trails.
