you have to use a photobook like setup where it gives you a URL but on PS3 it doesn't give you the option to present it as a pic or vid just a link, sux.

this is a band called Rasputina. they consist of two women with electric cellos and a drummer, thats it.

Don't know if you're also a fan of the Radio Lab show, but they did one segment with Zoe Keating from Rasputina on the show, and it's pretty damn cool:

and she also did amazing ambient background stuff for their show on War of the Worlds ( which is a must listen):

As the title suggests, this is a thread to post videos of your favorite music. Feel free to post as many times as you want.

I'll start:

And just to throw you off, it's not Hendrix :)

I love Freddy King!!! But John Lee Hooker is still my all time favorite bluesman. Here's one of my favorite tracks of John Lee with Canned heat:

I love JL Hooker, man! He's definitely one of the best. I dig those other vids too.

A couple more good tunes:

I'll admit, I've been kinda burnt out on classic rock since highschool, but since I lived in Georgia for 13 years, there was no way to escape the Allman Brothers legacy. Wow, poor Greg Allman looks kinda haggard back in 2003. I guess all those years of whisky mixed with coke, and dating porn star Savannah takes it toll.
Anyhow, I can still listen to this album back when they were in their prime, and when Duane was still alive
This one is solid gold...

and speaking of Duane Allman, have you heard this one he recorded with jazz flautist (or flutist) Herby Mann:
it's soo cool to hear Duane do the funky stuff!! And this one is dripping with funk...

Monday Mashup #1

jaredmorgs shared the Nekrogoblikon video on G+ a while back. Love it!

Let's see how long I manage to post a video a day. Monday is the right time for a weekly dose of mashup, so here we go:

That album rules. Actually, Dunae died before they finished it, so he's not on a couple of the songs (Ain't Wasting Time No More and Melissa). I like their newer stuff too though. Yeah, Greg is getting old, but Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are two of the best guitar players around these days.

That Herbie Mann song is cool too. Great album cover! :)

Tuesday Treat #1

Eye candy day. :)

There once was a time - back when you could find music on music television - when there were a lot of well made music videos with stunning visuals and little stories being told. Some of them actually were good enough to make me watch them although I really didn't like the music. But don't get me wrong, I play bass myself, so I do love Primus. That being said: Best. Costumes. Ever!

P.S.: I can't watch the video in Germany (Thanks once again, GEMA o_O) but it's from the official Primus channel, so it should be of decent quality.

Hey Bonzo, I love me some Primus. Was really into them in college. John The Fisherman rules!

As for the Allman Brother discussion....They aren't the same without Dickie Betts. Saw them live a few times over the years, and let me say, they are one of the best live bands you will ever see.

Any Velvet Underground fans out there?

When I grow up I want to be
One of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done
I want to be a fishermaiaiAIAIAIAI!

At school my nickname was "Primus" because I wore my Frizzle Fry shirt at least once a week for ages :)
