Hocus Pocus magnets not always working

Hocus pocus is NOT intended to save the ball 100%.

It is NOT reliable in real life. But it's nice when it does work.

This is because it tries to NOT trigger when you don't need it, and trigger when you do.

There is no compensation for it failing because of this.

A really fast moving ball can and does slip past in real life.

Well adjusted eddy sensors can make it more reliable, but definitely not 100%.

I find it reasonable on PC platform.

The shooting stars ARE compensated so they are always supposed to work.

Having played many different Theatre of Magic machines in real life, I can say that while it is not 100%, the real life Hocus Pocus magnets save far more balls than the TPA version does. The real machine can grab a ball halfway down the outlane if it feels like it.

Well considering how safe it is to relight hocus pocus in TPA, i think that if it were made more reliable, the table would be too easy, despite the unloopable center staircase.
