Well there's one on Pin Bot and it works better than the WW-one.
I don't like them IRL either, anyway.

I think that the reason PB post works better than WW is because I think the post in WW is a little off-center.

I just got through looking at the WW - PAPA video - http://pinball.org/videos/gameplay-videos/whirlwind/ and
The PB - PAPA video - http://pinball.org/videos/gameplay-videos/pinbot/.

I look at the post in both videos and it looks that the WW post is a little off-center in the video and TPA. To me, this what's makes the WW post a little less functional.

What do you think?

Are the slingshots supposed to be as powerful as they are? It seems like I keep on ending up in a sling->sling->outlane situation on this one. This table feels incredibly fast, I'll give it that much.

I am not really sure I "get" the theme on this table. This must be pre-Twister, right? I didn't realize there was enough buzz about storm chasing before then to actually create a storm chaser-table. But many of the targets and goals doesn't really seem to have anything to do with storm chasing (as explained here for example) like for example the highway toll. There are so many things to use from the whole storm chasing culture, so much terminology and so on that would be perfect for a pinball table. But I guess it is really just a "whirlwind" table...

Outside of that it's a fun table and I like the flow of it. There is something untangible that Bally/Williams do in their tables that makes it fun to play (unlike Stern, Sega and Gottlieb). I can't really place it.
