Tips & strategies

Finally, this table has one strategic element I haven't found on any other table in TPA: Bangbacks are possible! I can do it on occasion (20% or so) by hitting both the upward and sideways nudges together, to bounce the ball from the outlane onto the center pin. Just remember if you've used a tilt warning - you only get ONE per ball, not three as in Williams games. "Danger" means STOP TILTING, not that you have one more to go ("Danger Danger") like Williams games allow.

Bangbacks are possible on some other tables. Pin*Bot is probably the easiest.

I also want to point out that this is an extremely dangerous strategy. High Roller Casino has an easily reproducible bug where, if you tilt as the ball is draining, the table will lose track of it and go into a ball search. If you have at least one ball locked it will eventually drain any locked balls and the game will continue (though you will lose those locks). However, if you don't have any balls locked, it will sit there and search for balls till you quit. Basically, this is a game-ending bug. I have not found any workaround for it. FarSight is aware of the issue and claims it is a bug in the table's ROM. I don't understand why they can't just have the Call Attendant feature detect this issue and just drop a ball somewhere, so that the table can see it drain and continue the game.

Because of this bug, I recommend extreme caution if you're going to attempt a bangback. As mentioned, this table only gives one tilt warning.

I got to 10.5 billion. Could have done better but lost focus and stopped being able to maintain multiball long enough for more Extreme Jackpots. I don't remember the time exactly but I think about 2.5 hours.

So I gave this a shot as the free trial table. I still hate the unshootable right orbit. Besides that, I think there's another shot that may be impossible: the slot machine lane (when the ramp is all the way down) from a catch on the right flipper. It's easy from a running shot or as a backhand from a catch on the left flipper, but a fully set shot will always rattle around and never go in all the way. Really disappointing since I like HRC a lot, but these physics bugs break the immersion and make you continuously painfully aware you're playing Farsight's Shoddy Physics Workaround rather than really playing HRC.
we were complaining about this a lot during beta and if I remember correctly even after the table was out they pushed a few updates but that was never resolved.

So I got to play a real HRC for the first time yesterday. I can helpfully confirm that yes, it is indeed quite possible to shoot the right orbit from a trap on the left flipper.

OK tx, same time for me, also for 10B, with a totally different strategy, mostly ignoring slot machine multiball ^^ Roll and win and casino game in an alternate way, at some point iwas feeling to be in a kind of infinite play because of teh R&W EB. I usually got this EB around 50% of the rallys, by choosing the dice almost only for having it (i always take the bigger dice, except if it makes me overtaking the EB or beeing on the previous item, avoiding to have only 1 good dice). Even when u got to hit the R&W target 4 times they are not that dangerous if u keep concentration, and sometimes u hit it by accident.

Well.... i was "feeling" like it was an infinite play.... and then i also lost focus ^^
