First off I'm Loving Gorgar. I like old machines as much as the new ones.
They are nice and simple. So great job on getting Gorgar and it's late 70's Pinporn look to my iPad :)

That said, I'm finding that there are a load of instant drains off the start without even flipper the ball.
As I never played the original I'm wondering if this was how Gorgar was or is it because the way the emulator physics are set?
I can pull back the plunger and get an instant drain more times than not.
I feel this could be turning a load of people off this machine which is a shame because it feels like a classic.
More info please from those in the know.

It does happen in real life, though not as often as you describe. I'm not noticing it that much in the TPA version though.

Hmm, on my TF300T (android), I have not noticed a direct drain after simply plunging the ball.

To be clear, are you suggesting that when you pull back the plunger and release, the ball goes from the plunger lane directly to the outhole without travelling anywhere on the playfield at all?

I'm draining down the centre. I pull the plunger back and it bounces around the three pins and then hits a bumper or two then it dribbles dow the centre for a drain. The flippers are unable to touch the ball. I just noticed it more times than normal and far more than Black Hole a similar layout.

Yeah, a lot of old tables do this in real life from time to time....insta drains are less frequent on Black Hole because there's no outlane on the right.....it happens once in awhile on newer machines too, but we don't notice it as much because most of them have ball savers.

I haven't really experienced this behavior on Gorgar. Usually when I plunge the ball ends up going down the right roll-over lane before the pop bumpers. This puts the ball into the pop bumpers for a good jet-around. The drains usually happen in the out-lanes for me. Not down the middle.

I would be inclined to give the table an ever-so-gentle nudge when you exit the trouble areas (like the pop-bumpers or near the slingshots. I have the accelerometer turned on for tilting, rather than the touchscreen controls (just not intuitive for me). Not too much of a nudge though, because the old tables don't have a tilt warning system. Bash it around too much and you'll all of a sudden lose your ball. :(

Just downloaded the gorgar update, first ball goes straight from the bumper to the right outlane.

My thoughts: Yup, thats how I remember Gorgar....
