Went with:
Centaur
Firepower
Gorgar

I think with the System 11s and A/N WPCs, especially the later System 11s, the displays are good enough that there wouldn't be much added with DMDs.

But those early-80s games? Firepower with a DMD? Gorgar with updated speech, music, and a DMD? Centaur with all those balls flying around? Gimme.

My first two votes went for Haunted House and Sorcerer. Two great pins with great themes. Updated version of both would have great potential.
My third vote went to Future Spa. Such a strange/pervey theme. Imagine the DMD animations for that one.

I went with centaur, funhouse and swords of fury. I think black knight, f14, firepower, and sorcerer could all have been great with dmd as well.

...Wouldn't Red and Ted's Roadshow be considered a "Sequel" to Fun House?

Anyway, BK(2K), Bad Cats, and TX-Sector.

Not anymore than party zone is. Sure there is a talking head (two in fact) and lawlor design elements, but that's the total extent of the similarities. The theme is totally different and the table goals are not alike in any way.

I voted for Funhouse, Xenon and Centaur. I love all these tables. As Bowflex pointed out, Funhouse has had no sequel with PZ or RaTR.
First, I had also Taxi on my list, but I consider DINER as a sequel of this table, both in way of ruleset-design and theme ( instead of giving prominent people a ride, serving their dishes...). A well done sequel, by the way.

Now it´s too late to vote again. Sorcerer deserves a prequel too.

1. Isn't there technically a DMD sequel with Funhouse with "Red and Ted's Road Show"?
2. Black Hole, Funhouse (if no to the previous question) and Bugs Bunny Birthday Ball

Er, no. Just because it has giant talking heads doesn't make it a sequel.

Fun House = creepy/rude funfair dummy. Clocks, steps, mirrors, hot dogs, trap doors.
R&T = lazy construction worker+crazy construction worker. Cross-country road trip, bulldozers, dynamite, souvenirs, country music.

About the only two things they have in common are the giant talking heads and Pat Lawlor.
