"We're nowhere near the FarSight rabbit hole yet”
Perhaps not, but I remain baffled by a company that cannot get a game like this working reasonably well on a top-of-the-line iPad. Perhaps they were too ambitious. Who knows? But either the game’s not been tested, or I’ve for some reason got a...
I suspect most casual users don't give a monkey's, hence the business model here. They have a ton of data and will balance everything according to that. The issue is whether or not Zen cares about the TPA audience or not. As I've said elsewhere, if they'd knock down the price of the unlocks so...
Yeah, the free ticket pack is 150 on iOS, and actually gives you 150 tickets now (as opposed to 50). I remain dumfounded how anyone got these tables to four stars, unless the beta had radically different unlock speeds.
iOS is only 25 coins for $1. Otherwise, the outlay is the same. (50 for $1 on Android seems odd – makes it cheaper to buy 3x50 than 150 in a single purchase. Then again, perhaps someone's messed up the numbers. The ad-based tickets thing was for ages only providing 50 rather than 150 tickets.)
Like others, I went through the app's contact form. It took five days, but I just got a reply. Sure enough, the offer is now there on opening the app. £19.99 in the UK for all of the tables (the "Legendary Collection"). The offer for me ends in three days, apparently.
On the above, I’ve been communicating with Zen about the offer. They were surprised I couldn’t see it. Have others been emailing them about the problem?
As for tickets, etc, I am still genuinely baffled that people managed to four-star every table. I’m still playing daily, and completing most...
Seems good value though. In sterling, that’d be under 20 quid, I imagine. (I don’t see the pop-up here, and so perhaps it’s only available in some territories, or is being slowly rolled out.)
The articles I write are round-ups rather than reviews. So although they are recommendations, they aren't rated. They are also very heavily restricted in terms of word count. On that basis, one will mention the unlock mechanism, and otherwise basically talk about the pinball. The other has a...
shutyertrap: On Zen's other apps, there is a very big difference in terms of pricing, unless things have markedly changed of late. Most of those have (had?) very cheap tables, and so as impulse purchases you can splash out a couple of bucks on something, and move on to the next if you're not...
