All 2d shapes HAS to becomes oval just like Roo says when using different views.
I've been playing TPA on my cab and on my rotated 27" desktop monitor.
I think what we have to consider is that it has to be two different "modes", i "hate" the fact that it is centered on flippers when playing on...
Most of the portrait versions of the camera are bad, and they know that.
But i think they just threw them out in a hurry to quiet the masses for a while.
Did you launch the "configuration utility" after you rotated? If i rotated my desktop and did not run the utility to configure the new screen resolution to 1080x1920 (Portrait) instead of the 1920x1080 (landscape) TPA would try to start and fail because of the screen resolution.
Been playing in portrait mode a while, and it works great (except for the "A button", highscore bug and the views on some tables).
Rotated back my 27" to landscape mode and tried to enjoy it as much, but no go, pinball is played this way!, will try it on the cab tomorrow, too late now.
Would be...
Ok, I got my portrait view, so now you got my 87$ for season 1+2, sale or no sale coming!
But I sincerely hope that my money is not in the trashcan when the "real" cab version is coming and I have to buy the tables again, since it is still on the same platform! ;)
I do agree with you on that one!, a lot of my friends who has played my cab went home and made a "good enough" setup with their monitors at home playing with their keyboard and two screens.
They would never be crazy(???)/skilled enough to build a cab, but they enjoy the rotated view a lot more...
Maybe offtopic, but if you have a cab, have you checked out the new physics and BAM to future pinball?
Im sooo hooked on it right now, i even dont care about release date for TPA.
In short: new physics rock! And BAM allows FP to track your head movement and moves the camera accordingly. Now you...
Yeah ofcourse i already have usb-wlan in my cab, but i only plug it in to update games/cfg's and so on, but it's never "Online" for a long period of time.
The question was if they support offline mode, many games doesn't... (mp games obviously) ;)
On my 9'th year on steam =)
Aye! Having T2 as a kick-start (phun intended) table for the PC must be perfect way to get the sales (to other than the freaks here :o) going for the pc.
I hope they will support offline mode for TPA on steam...
Me, and a lot of other pincab owners does not have a network cable hooked up on their cabs.
But if it has to be plugged in (for obvious reasons like online highscores and so on) i will do what i have to do... =)
