"It may even be almost good" - Jared Morgs
:D
Speaking of lighting, before Pinball Arcade came out I bought the Williams collection on Nintendo 3DS, and that game had an issue that I never realized before could be an actual problem: The game was incredibly dark. So dark that I had to always...
I hope that sound quality concern gets cleared up. I was pretty blown away how good ACDC, Star Trek and Mustang sounds in SPA - especially with the booming, intense effects on Star Trek.
On the other hand, for some odd reason I could never get the tables nearly as dark on SPA as on TPA, and if...
Can´t wait to get into it!
I´ve been listening to some old episodes today to refresh my memory on your opinions on Zen table packs of the past. I´ve been really getting into Zen again recently and in one of those old episodes you talked about the Fox tables and how most Zen tables have very...
I´m kinda curious what the story behind these "one-off" designers are. One dude is making Pasha out of the blue and then nothing else?
Or the guy who made the very nice Sorcerer´s Lair, or the Rome designer? These tables are all very solid, I wonder what happened. Judging by some of other...
:D It does!
It´s a shame, because I´ve been awaiting that Popadiuk design for a while, but the tuning makes it a chore to play. Other tables like Attack From Mars are very speedy and enjoyable by comparison. Hurricane, on the other hand, feels like the ball is moving through sludge.
It´s one...
Yeah, sorry, I should have clarified that this is on the Steam version. (I actually tried the iOS version later that day only to realize that it is very out of date right now!)
I was thinking that putting their Haunted House conversion into Pinball Arcade would go against the "real table recreations" concept, but then I remembered their original Dr Who table, so it's probably going to be that one, I'm guessing.
Are they putting their Haunted House Ghostbusters conversion in? Between that and the already announced Stern table, there aren't any other Ghostbusters tables out there, right? Or maybe just something with Ghosts? Ghost... Squares. No idea :D
I just started dabbling with this game again today and discovered the Lamp Hunter mode. I was really suprised how much fun it is - definitely a gimmick mode, but boy, it´s entertaining.
- Every game starts with an instant 3 ball multiball.
- The usual switches, bumpers and targets are...
Huh, I actually kinda like this "master a table" stuff. I mean, almost every genre these days has XP bars, perks and achievements, but it kinda works in the context of the flashy Pinball FX tables! I´m usually rather overwhelmed when I start a new FX table, so that´s an approach I definitely...
That´s fantastic news - I´ll definitely be getting a Switch eventually (waiting for it to mature and maybe get a new revision, but within the next few years), so having it portable with physical controls and hopefully full lighting effects would be really cool.
Definitely looks and feels like a John Popadiuk table, with the swooshy curves everywhere. Reminds me quite a bit of TotAN.
While the music isn´t as fantastic as on TotAN, ToM or CV, it´s still catchy and creates a celebratory, majestic vibe.
I´m definitely having trouble hitting stuff...
Super excited for this. I always loved the idea to make my own simple tables but I just don´t have the time or motivation to learn VP or something similar, so a "drag and drop" style editor for some quick simple tables sounds very sweet to me.
Sorry for the bump, though. I hope we hear some...
