Glad the community is pushing thru the piles of lies, deceit and typical FS smokescreen BS to get this done.
I haven't bought a new table in months, and will not anytime soon. Zacc has my money (hey - they actually listen to the people who PAY for the app! Novel concept!) and FS hasn't even...
If I'm Gary Stern, I'm going to choose a more proven, bug-free platform to showcase my games. A platform with resources and a track record of putting out polished games across multiple platforms, on time. And that platform, my friends, is Zen. NOT TPA. Too many bugs, and not enough attention...
Is it better than, to run off the majority of folks who actually upgrade their hardware every couple years, in favor of the <10% who are running on a 3+ yr old phone, and 10+ yr old OS? That doesn't make ANY sense. Even MS - the manufacturer of WinXP - has ended any and all support for that...
^^ THIS. Also, you may need to use a compatibility mode on the .exe depending on what OS you are using.
This is the Achilles heel of VP. The good tables meet or exceed TPA's quality. The bad ones are just... bad. There is nothing you can do to clean up source images that are fuzzy and...
This is all the stuff we've been harping on for over 2 years now... I think they would have listened before, if ever. They seem to have their heads stuck in the sand, and are going to get reamed by Zacc and all the other newcomers to this game. Owning the rights to the licenses is no longer...
Came back here just to say -
BRAVO!!! FS could learn a LOT from ASK in a lot of areas. The lighting (one of our biggest pet peeves with TPA) is outstanding. Lighting control sliders! Dark and Light settings! Adjustable physics and camera angles!! Wooo hoooo!
The tables play great, the...
The fact that we are even talking about giving FS MORE money, to fix their code and upgrade the experience, is absolutely PATHETIC. Shame on them.
Really? You played a broken game one time, and therefore "don't see what the fuss is all about...?" Please, just GTFO. It's one of the highest...
I'd like to see Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane. Python's Circus Trilogy was a HUGE part of any arcade in the 80's, and Comet was the first machine he fully built and designed. Would be nice to immortalize some of his original, trademark work for future generations.
This is hilarious.
FS won't do anything about the lighting on their "premier" platform, so let's crowd-source it among ourselves!! LOL!!
It's so incredibly "hard" or "impossible" for FS to do - yet an open source aftermarket snippet of code can do it.
This is great. I'm going to have to...
If you bothered to read his post, and not just his sig line, you would have likely noticed that Frank is fully disabled, and unable to play "real" pinball machines. Therefore, TPA is as close to the "real thing" as he can likely get.
That's ludicrous.
Putting out quality software and sticking to your advertised release schedule (or even within a couple MONTHS of it) is bad for business? Really?
Damn, I've been doing it wrong for 20 yrs!
Point being - if the views were actually standardized - there would only be two possible views. View 2 shouldn't look "good" on one table and "bad" on another. They should be - the same. One set of views for regular tables, and one set for wide body tables. There is no rational explanation...
Wish I could!! FS has made it quite clear with their resource allocation that they care much more about casual mobile gamers, than the real Pinball/VP community.
I guess it doesn't occur to them that the true pinheads are the ones who would support this app across multiple platforms, if only...
