Thanks for sharing, but I'm not seeing a check box for disabling App Nap in the info window?
UPDATE: I'm assuming the App Nap option is only relevant for laptop users?
I'm sorry to say that I've just about given up trying to play pinball on a desktop or laptop computer. I'm not convinced a "trouble free" experience is even really obtainable at all. Can it be that's there's just too many background processes that are running to make for an uninterrupted and...
I sure hope Farsight truly addresses this problem as they say they will. I used to buy each table as they were released, but after the tables became practically unplayable I simply stopped buying them. The real insult is not being able to enjoy the tables that I already did purchase!
Mavericks with TPA was a disaster right out of the chute. It wasn't until much later (after a lot of folks already gave up) that Mavericks and TPA started to "iron itself out."
So, to answer your question, "yes, TPA is running better with Yosemite than when first used with Mavericks." In fact...
Just tested out TPA with Yosemite 10.10. I'm happy to report that TPA ran perfectly normal. I'm rather shocked that I didn't experience any ball lag or general weirdness. It works!
Is it normal for TPA to be spiking the CPU at 100 and over? Ever since the Mavericks update TPA has been running crappy. Lagging performance on all tables. Anyone else notice a performance downgrade after Macvericks?
Abd btw, what are the optimum settings when using OSX? Level of detail, post...
I wish I knew. My tables are all riddled with ball lag again. Farsight is going to have to address this matter quickly if people are going to continue purchasing games for OSX. I know I'm going to put the brakes on from any future purchases until this matter gets resolved.
Ever since the Mavericks update, my tables have been experiencing lag. This is so disappointing since everything worked silky smooth before Mavericks. Has anyone else noticed a downgrade in performance since Mavericks? I was purchasing every table until this happened, now I can't justify the...
Thank you FarSight for your prompt attention to this matter! I look forward to the update. And .. will continue to purchase all future table packs due to your prompt support.
Downloaded the free version of the app, and everything works fine. The paid version crashes every time on my iPad mini. Why does TPA continue to have two versions of their app? What's the point? It sure seems to cause a lot of headaches, I know that.
Wow, I have no idea what you're talking about. I've been playing these games on an iMac and the graphics are excellent. And I've not experienced any flipper lag whatsoever. I always play in full screen mode and am using a Logitech gamepad for the controls. Fantastic experience all the way around.
Could someone please tell me how I explore a table on an iMac? I purchased the Pro version of Scared Stiff, opened Pro Menu, clicked on "Explore Table" .. and nothing happens. What am I missing here? The camera mode is not locked.
