I should have been more clear. I didn't mind getting Spanish Eyes at all (and Wild Card which I had never played) and of course assumed more Gottliebs would come later, and when i said all i should have said that much of the discussion in the forums wanted to see the [perhaps limited in number...
I, too, haven't checked in here for a while and was just curious on any news. It seems TPA is dying a slow death which sucks because it's been a big part of my entertainment for six or seven years.
I just wish they'd take advantage of the Gottlieb license (assuming they still have it for new...
I was hoping there'd be a ramp to shoot the ball up to the Apple rooftop.
I'd prefer either a pin that has elements from their entire career or a full on Yellow Submarine theme. We'll see how this works out.
I'm enjoying that same Atari 12 game unit. Really enjoying it and I like being able to walk up and play it anytime.
My only issues are slight audio lag and Missile Command is bugged for bonus cities [correction-it's set to start with seven cities, i.e. one bonus city which it gives when you...
Yeah, that button configuration is my biggest worry. I considered maybe just getting the separate asteroids and centipede ones, but the price savings for the deluxe is too much and it includes the riser.
I even did mock ups based on the pictures and measurements to test hand placement. I...
I ordered the Atari deluxe cabinet that comes with the riser. Considering the controls and the cabinet, I think I'd be out more than $400 plus time and trouble if I did it myself. For classic Atari, it has the games you need, in my opinion, so it's good value. And...it just works.
Top five Gottliebs to do first that seem to be my and several others favorites (not in any order):
Spirit of 76, Royal Flush, Atlantis, Surf Champ, Abracadabra.
A symmetrical multi-player, two asymmetric multi-player, a symmetric single player and an asymmetric single player. Five classics...
At some point didn't Stern include digital rights in contracts when they secured licenses? I don't remember when that started it or if it's been consistent.
I actually prefer the Sterns of this decade more than the 2000's and more recent ones like ST and AC/DC I like more than most Williams/Bally from the 90's (MM, T2, and AFM not withstanding). I think Farsight is in a strong position with the Sterns and Gottliebs, although I won't marginalize the...
Obviously, the loss of WMS/Bally licenses is unfortunate, but the ability to do (modern) Sterns and classic Gottlieb EM's seems like plenty of material. I know their output is reduced this year, but if they can churn out 4 or so Sterns a year and 4-6 Gottlieb EM's, my wallet is open.
If you didn't see, the PHOF just purchased a new site on the south end of The Strip (for 4.6 million) to build a massive new facility.
Tim Arnold says he has over 800 machines in storage so might as well get them where they can be played (current site has about 250 machines).
Don't know the...
I'm never a fan of destroying information (even if there is some questionable data), so either archive and reset it or much better to just add in the Current Year leader board that gets archived and reset that each year, which was suggested earlier. No separate leaderboards, but add the option...
Speaking of leaderboards, I've been confused as far as adding friends. Do friends and the leaderboards work across Android and IOS?
Concerning the leaderboards, I would prefer to see them at least archived because it seems like when playing on my other tablets the score will be on the leader...
Not in order but my choices in order of appearance on the list...
Royal Flush, Surf Champ, Atlantis, Spirit of 76, Buccaneer, Jack in the Box. Best of the best In my opinion.
Plenty of other good ones, but those are my tops. Fast Draw and Abra are good, too and I'd welcome them, but I stuck...
First two are easy for me, Fire and Space Station. After that it gets really tough to choose. I went with Rollergames but there are several third choices I'd be good with.
My list is kind of a subset of the previous lists...
In no particular order, but probably prioritized with 70's games first.
1970's
Spirit of 76
Atlantis
Surf Champ
Buccaneer/Ship Ahoy (decent AAB implementation)
Royal Flush
Jack in the Box
Fast Draw
Abracadabra (would probably take the above...
