    Request Realistic flipper physics

Cradle separations (if they do happen by accident) are nothing like their real life counterparts. I've had a bunch of them happen at random but they're incredibly uncontrolled and all over the place. Normally one of the balls just jumps up while the other one stays put on the flipper and even if...

    Request Realistic flipper physics

The emulation of the PCBs isn't actually the problem here. Both TPA and VP emulate the roms without needing big resources to do it because the PCBs are rather simple in their structure. Warped Trekker is likely generalizing his view towards MAME and the emulation of "newer" consoles like the PS2...

    Request Realistic flipper physics

We are not talking about actual 100% emulation of physics here as that can indeed be quite cpu-intensive but rather about the fact that there are a bunch of simple workarounds that produce the same results. Even if we were talking about real physics emulation, it only needs a dual-core 2,6 cpu...

Request Fix the plunger so it doesn't miss the ball if pulled back early

This should definitely be fixed asap. Kinda surprising that this bug survived such a long time to begin with.

    Request Realistic flipper physics

+1 to smbhax's post (you forgot to mention cradle separations ;) ) and Brakel has pretty much hit the nail on the head. There are plenty of solutions to this problem which don't put any noticeable extra strain on the cpu. Maybe Farsight will work on it this year since not a lot happened to the...

PC Version 1.20.4 Discussion And Feedback

Nudging and staging flippers works perfectly for me on my 360 controller. Not sure why people have such a problem with staging. To me it seems like 25% and not 5% for it to trigger.

    Death saves are possible

Drop catches are already possible. Live catches and moves that require more precise flipper movement (cradle separations, tap/flick passes) are the ones that aren't possible the way they're supposed to be though.

    Save game?

They aren't. It works. To be fair there really isn't anything a developer can do about this if they implement save files. Example: https://forum.zenstudios.com/showthread.php?3661-unlikely-scores-or-hacking

Thanks for the link. I always thought the calendar on papa.org was just filled with tournament dates.

Buying Season 3 questions - Assuming that Season 3 starts (Mod: It will.)

I know that there have been small tweaks and fixes to the engine over time but the fact that there is still so much missing after almost an entire year of development doesn't exactly help me in believing that things will somehow drastically change in the future. This doesn't mean that I hate TPA...

    Save game?

The fact that it gets deleted doesn't mean that you can't back up the save file before it gets deleted via loading. Once it's gone you can simply replace it again and repeat the process to reload as often as you want.

Thanks for the schedule. Some pretty interesting stuff coming up :) Out of curiosity where did you get that info from?

    Save game?

You can still copy and restore it with any savegame-manager. Storing sessions in a savefile would make highscore cheating extremely easy so in my opinion it's something that should only be allowed if it blocks the score from going onto the leaderboards.

Buying Season 3 questions - Assuming that Season 3 starts (Mod: It will.)

It's more about missing features than bug-fixes really. I'm sure they fix minor bugs every now and then but the bigger problem is the core engine of the game. The fact that no staff members seem to respond to any concerns about it isn't exactly helping. One example is the thread about essential...

Buying Season 3 questions - Assuming that Season 3 starts (Mod: It will.)

So instead they'll just let the bugs pile up and not address any of the concerns people currently have with the game? Yeh sounds like a good idea. I'm sure they'll keep a lot of happy customers around to buy season 3 like that. If they don't start fixing things soon the backlog for fixes and...

Just wanted to confirm the bug TwitchDaWoof posted. Cost me a bunch of good attempts :/

    Bug PC Version 1.19.6 Bugs

I've been experiencing the same issues that JPelter reported. Nudging and analog controls in general are seriously screwed at the moment.

Request Multiplayer mode, shared screen, spectator functionality

A head-to-head mode is already planned but having your own tournaments with friends sounds like a great idea to add to multiplayer as well as the spectator mode :) I really like your ideas and hope they'll get implemented soon.

Request Tournament mode for each table

Tournament difficulty definitely needs to happen. Playtime can go absurdly high on some tables due to all the extra balls which just ends up being annoying in my opinion.

    Too easy tables (PC version)

A few of the tables could definitely do with some difficulty tweaking since they're way too easy in their current settings/playfield setup. It would be pretty amazing if pro-mode eventually allowed you to change parts of the table layout to make it more difficult as well (obviously this would...
