While I'm glad that Addams Family is finally here, I really thinks it shows how dated the iOS version looks by now.
The complete lack of a lighting system makes some things just look bland and out of place: The cover of Thing's box just looks strange; the flippers floating over the playfield...
While Farsight is not to blame on this one - it's clearly apples new policy regarding pre-purchases - I don't like one part of the official statement on their Facebook page:
"Even though we offered Season Passes at the beginning of [a] each season in the past,...."
As we know that's simply not...
As Jeff Strong already pointed out, that's not true. You can make an app load different types of settings/textures according to the device its running on.
Farsight already does this themselves with the different versions for iPad.
I can understand that from a business point of view, but if possible i would like them to reconsider just one tiny detail on just one table:
Translucent ramps on No Good Gofers :-)
So please Farsight, make at least that little change if it's not that hard to implement.
If you read my answer again you can see that I already took that into account.
Even if you get a table pack, as stated in the newsletter (which in my mind means exactly one table pack) you come out seven cents short.
I don't know the deal for the dollar prices, but for people paying in euro the season pass is a bad deal when one has already purchased packs 11 through 13.
If I buy 14-20 individually, I end up paying 31.43€. So getting one free table pack would mean a value of 35.92€ for me.
But the Season...
Thanks for the feedback. Since it seemed to be an individual problem I thought I might as well try a reinstall of the whole program.
I have been playing White Water for about 20mins now, and absolutely no slowdowns/speed ups.
Looking good so far :)
While I like the new tables quite a bit, I'm (again) a bit shocked at the lack of quality control on the side of FS.
Especially Space Shuttle. Unplayable on the iPhone thanks
to unusable viewing angles, the ball counter not working, the high scores are not saved.
The lack of polish is too...
I'm not sure if it is a new problem, but what's keep bugging me a lot lately on my iPad 3 is that you can't pause a play and leave the app without the app crashing on bringing it back up. All the time...
This is especially cumbersome when on the move since most of the time you don't have time to...
The Jet Bumpers on AFM are really getting on my nerves ;)
Especially when the ball moves through them, even touching the bumpers, but they simply don't engage.
Is it this hard to get Super Jets on a real machine?
A little follow up after the latest update:
The ball's still spinning. You can see that it is spinning and not just shaking around by
looking at the scratches on the ball's texture. It can be best seen when you trap the ball.
A little follow up:
The problem seems to be the system language setting of iOS.
When I set it to 'English' Pinball Arcade doesn't crash when enabling
the Pro Mode.
Device/OS: iPad 3 / iOS 6.0.1
Bug Description: TZ Operator Menu crashes app
Steps to reproduce: Every time I try to turn on the operator menu on TZ the app
crashes, causing it to close.
Frequency: Always
Edit: The same is happening on ST:TNG.
I wouldn't be too surprised if FS just rushed...
Love the table! Great design and graphics.
One question though: Is it intentional that the ball is spinning all the time?
If you trap it, or even before launching it you can see it slightly "rumbling" around
and spinning constantly, at least on my game (iPad 3).
