Why are new machines nearly twice what they were before the industry crash?

I also agree pinball machines are way expensive. But, as others already pointed out, I believe the price is more or less balanced to how it was years ago, if you consider inflation and other variables. Actually the "other variables" are the big concern for pricing tables nowadays. I don't know...

    PS3 input lag issue

No they aren't. They are HDMI cables, but certified cables is a whole different thing. It is a technical process to ensure that a cable mets standards "x y or z". By your definition, I just need to go and buy any generic HDMI cable to get a certified 1.4 or a category 2 1.3 standard cable...

Admit it: How often do you do THIS:

I try to be calm for a while, but, when I start loosing some easy balls with a high score then my patience gets over, and then I keep restarting until my "goal" for the first ball mets. What's interesting it that once I start doing this, it look like the game knows it and the table gets harder...

    Adieu, My Xbox Bretheren

Plus one here. Then the second died too, after that I moved to the PS3. Both were out of warranty.

    PS3 input lag issue

There are people reporting that changing TV to game mode fixed the issue (so here its clearly a video issue), some plugged the controller and lag went away while others have lag issues regardless, and your lag problem went away with the DLC update! That's quite a lot of different forms for the...

    Adieu, My Xbox Bretheren

I play the PS3 version and don't experience ANY lag, which is odd, since every PS3 has the same main specification (processor, gpu, memory etc.). Perhaps the cause is something external, like TV / controller setup?

    PS3 input lag issue

I've been reading this thread and besides I don't have the lag issue, I'm trying to figure out what may cause it. I have some friends who experience lag in other games besides TPA, and all of them basically had the same cause, and are based on what shutyertrap said, the TV/wiring setup. What...

Star Trek: The Next Generation Kickstarter Stretch News!

One great pinball machine with licensed characteres that I think shouldn't be expensive to get, would be Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I've played it a lot in the 90s and I'd love to see it in TPA. I even got a chance to buy a real one a few days ago in very good condition, but when I told my...

    iPad 3 bug

I have an ipad 3 too, and I've never experienced any crash in CV either, and not in any other table. Looks like there's something with the game itself or the table. Perhaps reinstalling the app and downloading again the table fixes it??

    PS3 graphics vs iOS

I have both versions, iOS and PS3. On iOS using on iPhone 4 and on a new iPad 3. PS3 plugged to a plasma 50" Panasonic TV NeoPDP screen, using a hdmi monster cable M2000HD. I've played first on iOS, and later on PS3. On the iPhone it looks good, but the screen is too small for a pinball game...

How many times have you purchased Pinball Arcade?

Bought it twice, for iOS (iPhone 4 and iPad3) and PS3. Will buy again when PC version gets out. For the PS3 I did it with my US account, as other people here outside USA did. Actually, it's quick and easy if you buy a PSN Network Code from Best Buy.

Thank's everyone for the welcomes!! PiN WiZ I'm looking forward to it, with this great community and support, I'm very sure STNG and many more good tables from all generations are coming to TPA. Also, the ideia of having a real pinball machine came back to my mind, I wanted it a long time ago...

    The Future of TPA

I think you are right of what both products offer and the market perspective, and I'd like to add that TPA attracts not only oldschool but also newbies based on how well and precise the dinamics of the tables are, and you clearly see it in different generations of tables, having totally diferent...

Request Some nice 90s tables - LIST 1!!!

Hi guys, I'm amazed and really enjoying the awesome work FarSight is doing with Pinball Arcade. When I saw Tales of Arabian Nights there, it was like I jumped into a time machine back to my school days in the 90s. It would be really nice to see some of them in PA and live again these great...

    Hi everyone!!!!

Hello!!! I found this forum after playing pinball arcade for the iOS on the iPhone, as I was looking for another "regular" pinball game. When I started the game and saw real tables there, especially one I've played a lot when I was a teen (Arabian Nights) I just tought, WOWW NO WAY, it can't...
