I;m probably going to get killed but if you had to omit one of the two, Shrek is much better than Family Guy. That show is not funny to me and I am amazed it has stayed on as long as it has.

Each to their own. I've not watched the show much at all-But game's GREAT- Funny speech for sure IMHO....surprised at lack of love for the table in the voting....

I would buy none. Except for Terminator 3 and AC/DC. I still can't believe we don't have a single Steve Ritchie table yet, so I'll take what I can get... even if it's a Stern table :(

Actually surprised that T3 is so damn low in the rankings... I love it and it's surely one of the best (not that it's hard, trololol) of the recent Stern tables.

As far as Steve Ritchie Sterns go, I like Elvis a lot. Seriously under-appreciated game there.

To be honest, really haven't seen it IRL. As far as Stern games go, Ritchie seems to be doing a better job of designing decent tables than Lawlor who just seems to be phoning it in (though having said that, I haven't played a massive amount of either designers Stern works).
I'd really love to see what either of them could do with a table if they don't have to stick to a license. By far Stern's biggest issue, more than the table designs themselves, is locking these legends of the industry into crappy themes like NASCAR and WPT. Oh, and the backglass artwork. Everything just looks like it's been taken from the box artwork of Chinese knock-off toys.

I haven't seen any of these machines, but I voted for Tron and Lord of the Rings because they sound pretty good.

Should there be a separate poll for Sega tables? I believe Stern came about directly from the sale of Sega's pinball division (which if I'm not mistaken was actually formed from Gottlieb's ashes), so the Stern license should include those. I can't remember Sega doing anything that wasn't licensed and whilst I wasn't the biggest fan of their machines (they reminded me a lot of Data East's output), I did really enjoy the Apollo 13 table.

the Stern guide to bulding a pinball game.
Photocopy, poorly, a movie poster and use it for a backglass, find a dozen toys at the local kmart, superglue them to a playfield. Pay programmer to conjur the most complex ruleset possible that could only be kept track of by Rainman. Don't forget to have some 6th grader vomit paint and lettering EVERYWHERE so that you can't keep track of what mode you are even on, much less figure out what you need to do. Finally, make even the biggest accomplishment seem underwhelming. Don't have big light show, music and DMD animation build ups to big modes or have them score points that make it seem worthwhile. Poof! You have built a new Stern, congratulations.

Maybe a little over the top, but thats how they look and feel to me.

LOTR and Tron if I can only get two. Surprised to see CSI get no love, despite the theme and hilariously bad voice work, it's really a fun game.

Been playing a ton of Family Guy lately, it sorta reminds me of a broke-ass Dr. Who, especially the left side of the table.

Also, NBA is really great, on the off chance you can find one. It has a Whirlwind-style spinner in the middle, and is a loop-a-holic's dream.
