Ball shadow on ramps and transparent areas

I think it disappears because it is not a real reflection/shadow on the table, but a still image.
Personally, I greatly dislike the way that it looks, and wish it would disappear permanently.

Jim, yeah I realize that it is probably a still.

I completely disagree that it should disappear permanently, it's the only thing that grounds the ball on the table. Without it (i.e. when it disappears) all sense of depth and perspective is lost. Shadows are essential in order to give the impression of 3d.

Well before they added that shadow I think it looked a lot better, maybe they just need to make it not so prominent. It actually distracts me because my eyes want to focus on it due to how "odd" it looks. To me it looks as though it is part of the ball and not just a shadow because it is so brightly displayed, which just appears wrong and not realistic.

Perhaps an option: Ball Shadow ON/OFF, would be in order.
