[QUOTE="superballs, post: 143284, member: 341"] I seem to have multiquoted out of order. But i agree that this is a pretty harsh critique of a wonderfully digitized table. This post makes no sense. 1) If you had not seen the High Speed II portion of The Getaway, how could you have ever mistaken a game obviously titled HIGH SPEED (prominently at that) for a game where the prominent portion of the title was THE GETAWAY? 2) High Speed isn't an inferior version of the Getaway, you say this as if both games were made at the same time and High Speed was some stripped down welfare version for poor people and dummies. The Getaway is a sequel not a "superior version". It's also far from junk. It's pretty well known around here that I do in fact prefer HS2: The Getaway, in fact, I'm pretty sure that I literally am the first person to ask Farsight about releasing it, along with Eight Ball Deluxe on their facebook page, you would have to go back almost 2 years to find it. I've been waiting for it for quite some time. The Getaway is the machine that got me into pinball. It's the first machine I ever put my initials on, and the first machine I can say I got really good at. But that doesn't make High Speed junk. It's a fast table that was revolutionary for it's time, with a simple but demanding ruleset. What you seem to have missed is that there was a poll here between High Speed and The Getaway, the Getaway won out in votes, but not by very much, it was very close. You asked for an unbiased opinion previously and I can't give you one, simply because I have a bias toward The Getaway, but I can still praise and enjoy High Speed for what it is. Now if you need dot matrix displays and toys upon toys and ramps and all that, well that's all you, but to even hint that Farsight is preying (not praying BTW) on the ignorance of people because you completely missed obvious differences is borderline trolling. Shame on you for that...tsk tsk and all that. Again, somehow you missed obvious differences between the tables. Honestly, with the exception that both tables have kickouts, outer loops (like MM and MB, and at least 70% of modern tables) and a kickout hole which HS2 called the tunnel shot and and upper loop, again like a lot of other tables have. I think you are the only person who is actually surprised that HS is in fact what it is. This was a highly requested table, sorry that you had to find out that Farsight doesn't personally cater to you and you only, and next month's table is most definitely not The Getaway either so you might want to temper your expectations as well, to stave off potential disappointment. Now on to my opinion of the table itself. It's not exactly as brutal as I thought it would be (talking the steam version, android is harder). The table looks and plays great, great sound. The fake GI actually is a cool effect, I'd like to see it implemented in the other tables where it would apply. The ball can really get zinging around the loop and the kickout from the hideout holes is dangerous fast. The kickback is very easy to light thankfully, because it's also easy to hit that outlane.
