I had to trim around the small wooden 3" opening on the right side where the tweeter usually sits to allow room for the bigger speaker. These are dual speakers each so they both have a 5" woofer and a small tweeter on top. The DCS sound system in the WPC pinballs already have frequency limiters on the 2 amps to separate out the mids from the base. All I had to do was cut a bigger hole and remove the tweeter in line frequency limiter and connect the new full range speaker and it was good to go. Sounds amazing and makes for a much more punchy and musical sound out of the pinball. The biggest difference is the enterprise ambient and engine sounds. If you know the game you know the sound I mean it's much fuller and deeper and the high squealing sounds are smoothed out and less abrasive to the ear. Speech from the characters is much clearer and deeper. I took large washers and wrapped them in electrical tape as vibration dampeners under the new speakers.

Junky original speakers

Tweeter has the in line frequency limiter

5" Rockford Fosgate Punch FRC1205 next to the original

[QUOTE="Jeff Carpenter, post: 42521, member: 1420"] Those finished pics are his I haven't received my ornaments yet. I will use the leftover premiums that came in my kit. My kit had 5 extra so far and I'm only done with the backbox and flashers. I took a break from LED upgrading tonight and installed my 5" Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers I've had hiding in the closet since 1998. Yes 1998 lol Never opened. I guess fate had a plan for them. I had thought they were 5-1/4" for years but as I opened them I realized they were 5 and when I put them in I realized they fit perfectly.
