The main points in this game are lionman, jackpot, and ogres alley at 500k. Bonus is also decent. You can only collect 500k ogres alley once per game. with that in mind, collect at the start of multiball during 3x scoring for a cool 1.5 million. Multiball never gets any harder to start, and you can often dead bounce the ball when it leaves the mini playfield, and then flip it back into the titans tunnel with a bit of practice. it's also shootable form a trap. Once you reach 2 million, the game decides it's been nice enough and makes a few difficulty changes. To wit: 1) Lionman starts timing out faster. instead of 10 seconds, you only have three to shoot it. 2) avenger at the magic tunnel starts timing out much faster. However, multiball lionman never gets any harder. So when lionman value is high, start multiball. There are two main strategies. 1) get avenger a lot, so you can get extra balls. This seems like a good idea so you can infinite. but it's quite risky, as there is no way to feed the inlanes for a right ramp shot, and otherwise you have to shoot standups. 2) play carefully, and boost your lionman, then collect it with a mulitball. This is what most people try in real life when they want to roll the game. The reason multiball is so important for lionmanning is that it gives you a guaranteed shot at it, and a reasonable timer. The center ramp can be shot from any of the three big flippers, but it is easiest to shoot from the upper one. This version of Swords of Fury is tuned such that it's not so easy to trap the ball on the upper flipper. You have me to curse for requesting that. :) the ease of trapping the ball there is the main means of controlling the difficulty of the game. I'm pretty sure the designer intended for it to be hard to trap the ball up there. Even with this change, it's still very possible to roll the game, as i've done it. A failed attempt at the right ramp can drain down the right outlane. Practice that shot. Shooting left ogres alley is dangerous, as depending on speed it can go down the middle. this is true to real life. shooting right ogres alley is safe, and will often lead to a trap on the upper flipper. You can then shoo the center ramp. When the ball takes the third exit, lower the upper flipper until the ball goes past it, then raise it. it will usually catch the ball then. You can sometimes catch the ball when it gets past the drop targets. but don't count on it working. Fortunately, though, drains from that are very rare. so it's still worth the try. Nudge to knock the ball away from the outlanes. the rubber posts make it easy. The instructions are wrong about it being impossible to increase the jackpot in game. it can most definitely be increased, but i do not know what does it.
