I have everything working with my moga pro in B mode, not sure if I will be able to sneak in A mode in time but its a start.

Hey Ryan

Just tried to use TPA with the Moga Pocket, but no dice. I would say this will work once you implement Mode A support.

I know the Dev Docs for Moga suggest you need to create a scheme that is compatible with all controllers Moga offers for the game to be "certified" moga capable. The Moga Pocket has two shoulder triggers instead of 4 like the Pro does.

It also doesn't have a dedicated d-pad, instead having two analog thumb sticks.

My preferred mapping for Moga Pocket would be (and the one I've self-mapped in USB/BT Joystick Center 8):

Left Flipper = L trigger
Right Flipper = R trigger
Tilt controls = left stick
Menu navigation = Left stick
Plunge controls = right stick
Special buttons (magna saves, launch = X for left and B for right
Menu select = A
Start = Main Pause menu
Select = Camera views
Y = Unused (unless I'm missing something mapped in the Pro scheme)

If you could schedule this scheme to be provisioned when you get a chance, that would be awesome.

In Australia, the distributor is not carrying the Pro version of the controller. We are stuck with the Pocket. Importing one from Moga directly is $49 for the controller and $65 for shipping. :(

Did a quick test with the moga pro and it works great. Maybe I just am not remembering correctly, but this version seems a lot less laggy than the previous build this summer. One request tho, I like to use the shoulder buttons more than the triggers. There is less travel so it seems more responsive. Maybe this could be an option, or let the triggers and shoulder buttons perform the same function.

Anyways, this is awesome. :)

Jared there are presently no Ui navigation controls in this mapping. Ideally it would be nice to be able to assign buttons based on presses like on PC.

Ryan has done a supreme job for what he has provided thus far.

You can nudge like a beast with the graduated analogue scale :D

Oh yeah I should note that I had problems with the TPA game end UI not appearing unless I had Moga Pivot running as well; just a weird coincidence :/

I can do without navigation controls. Just get me Pocket support ;-)

Can you please swap it so that the flippers are mapped to the shoulder buttons and the triggers are the magna-save, etc?

I ask because of the longer pull of the triggers it can induce a bit of perceived lag.

+1 Flippers should definitely be on the shoulder buttons.

Thanks for this Ryan - I really want to try this out, but am staring down the barrel of a long work day. - damn.
Till this evening...

Snuck in 5mins - analogue nudging is freaking awesome.
Just shift the flippers to the shoulder buttons, and this is perfect!

Might be a stupid question but, the moga pro, is it possible to mount it in portrait on a nexus 7?

Also got an old Toshiba tablet with USB, will any controller with USB work in the future?

No - you can't mount a 5" phone portrait, only landscape.
N7 won't fit in either orientation.
You do get a non attached tablet mount stand with the Moga Pro though for playing at a table or desk.

I wouldn't offer to just anyone - but seeing as you're trustworthy and Christmas is in the air.
If you wanted - I could purchase and mail you a Pro if the mode A feature didn't work out and you really wanted one.

They retail at £39 gbp here and I'd guess at £10 - £15 recorded mail to Aus (I have family in NZ so have just mailed the Xmas parcels). I don't know if that would save you some money.

You could PayPal on arrival.

Again - this isn't an open offer to all!

I appreciate the offer, Mr Rubic. :)

I have a colleague looking into getting one shipped from the US surface mail.

Also, there is one company in Australia that sells them for $79.

So it isn't all doom and gloom yet. Hopefully Ryan can work with me as an owner of a pocket for beta testing the controller map.

No problem - let me know if you change your mind.

I have a red Samurai blue tooth joystick that I bought at game stop and it works great with this. Thank you.

This will be supported, I will however have to submit again for Amazon to implement this since I did it late lastnight. Can you connect via mode B?

Have you tried installing the following?

Mogaanywhere.com/Pivot

Wooo Hooo!

Edit: more words:
Moga Pro here
I know the kindle isn't exactly a huge part of the android market but a couple quick points if you'll indulge me:
1- "As-is" I'd be delighted to have this option as well in "our" brand
2- I haven't been able to establish an A-mode connection with the kindle, at least in the "control panel" for blue-tooth it will never show it connected and the light on the Moga turns red

Next when we can get UI navigation I won't even have to get off the couch when I hook my nexus 10 up to my TV to play TPA via HDMI

What is the best way to hook up a tablet to a TV? I have the Nexus 7 2013, and heard it supports the SlimPort adapter. Is this all I need?

It varies device to device, but the 2013 Nexus 7 is Slim Port enabled so that's all you need.
