UPDATE The January tournament for Android, iOS and Mac is NOW ACTIVE and will take place from 04:56pm PST on 01/22/13 until 11:59pm PST on 02/03/13.

This tournament features Creature from the Black Lagoon, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Funhouse, Genie, Gorgar, Medieval Madness, Star Trek : The Next Generation and The Twilight Zone.

The Eyeball ball skin will be awarded to the top 100 finishers and The Twilight Zone and Star Trek : The Next Generation ball skins will be awarded to the top 200 finishers.

NOTE : This IS NOT a free tournament meaning you must own the table you are playing to post a score for that table.

UPDATE Here's some news and updates to get you through the weekend.


• Codes for The Twilight Zone table should be emailed out to all backers’ kickstarter email addresses that chose the PS3/PS Vita as their platform of choice within the next week.

• Star Trek : The Next Generation and Table Add-On Pack #8 featuring Attack from Mars and Genie are currently in submission with SCEA and SCEE. FarSight will announce release dates as soon as they get them.

• Table Add-On Pack #8 featuring Attack from Mars and Genie is currently in submission with Amazon and should be available by mid next week.

• FarSight is working on a hard fix for losing scores on iOS which should be ready soon.

• FarSight is currently looking into the issue that doesn’t allow users that haven’t purchased Medieval Madness to access the Table of the Month’s Pro Menu. The intention is for everyone to have access to the Pro Menu whether you own the table or not.

• FarSight is making very slow progress on getting the Xbox 360 updates out to the public, but they are still working with their publisher to get this done as soon as possible.

• The special PC build for The Twilight Zone and Star Trek : The Next Generation kickstarter backers has been pushed into February so that FarSight can get it running on Windows 8 and Windows XP at the same time.

• The Wii U version is currently in submission with Nintendo and FarSight hopes to finalize and release soon.

•FarSight is looking to allow the user to activate and use the buy-in feature through the Operator’s Menu. Currently, this feature causes issues with their UI flow which they are working on a solution for.

• The results of the current Android, iOS and Mac tournament will be used to start The Official Pinball Arcade tournament rankings.

UPDATE More news and updates!!!

• The Table Add-On Pack numbering system has been updated again to reflect the now confirmed numbering system. The Twilight Zone is now Table Add-On Pack #8, Star Trek : The Next Generation is now Table Add-On Pack #9, Attack from Mars and Genie are now Table Add-On Pack #10 and Dr. Dude and Firepower will be Table Add-On Pack #11.

• With the introduction of the Pro Menu Add-On option, individual table purchases on Android, iOS and Kindle Fire will no longer be supported beginning with Table Add-On Pack #10 (Attack from Mars and Genie).

• The washed out look on some of the PS3 tables is currently being addressed and will be corrected soon.

• Tournament and Challenge modes for the PS3/PS Vita are currently in the works. FarSight will have more to announce as they get closer to being completed.

• FarSight still has a few release issues to work through before releasing the new version of The Pinball Arcade on the Xbox 360.

UPDATE Android version 1.10.1 is AVAILABLE NOW!

This version features UI fixes for high resolution devices like Nexus 10 (assets should scale properly now), UI fixes in general for all devices for better responsiveness, fixed a flickering issue when scrolling through tables on some devices, fixed a rare crash on boot up that some were seeing, fixed some downloading crashes when the user hits home or locks the device and the action overflow button has been removed.

• Stereoscopic 3D support for the PS3 is in the works and FarSight hopes to debut it next month at the Texas Pinball Festival.

• This week, FarSight plans to update Xbox 360 players with the latest information they have regarding the release of new content on XBLA.

• PS3/PS Vita European Kickstarter backers should be receiving The Twilight Zone redemption codes via email within the next 24-48 hours. NOTE : If you previously received redemption codes for the North American market, please PM Rob Mann here at the forum and request redemption codes for the European market.

• FarSight has begun the process of porting The Pinball Arcade over to OUYA.

• Following a small delay, FarSight plans on submitting the Wii U version to NOA and NOE very soon.

• Table Add-On Pack #7 featuring Big Shot and Scared Stiff should be available on PS3 (NA) and PS Vita (NA) on February 12th and PS3 (EU) and PS Vita (EU) on February 13th. Xbox 360 release time frame TBD.

UPDATE New tables released on Android, iOS, Kindle Fire and Mac plus lots of news from The Pinball Arcade Newsletter #12.5!!!


• Android version 1.11.0, iOS version 1.2.4, Kindle Fire version 1.11.0 and Mac version 1.1.1 featuring Dr. Dude and Firepower is AVAILABLE NOW!

• FarSight has submited Star Trek : The Next Generation as well as Table Add-On Pack #10 featuring Attack from Mars and Genie to SCEA and SCEE and hope to release these tables on PS3/PS Vita (NA/EU) beginning mid March.

• Medieval Madness Pro and Tales of the Arabian Nights Pro should be available on PS3/PS Vita (NA) on February 19th and PS3/PS Vita (EU) on February 20th.

• The Twilight Zone Kickstarter redemption codes have already been sent out to North American PSN accounts via email. FarSight is still waiting on SCEE to send them redemption codes for European PSN accounts and plan to send them out as soon as they get them.

• FarSight plans on catching the PS3/PS Vita and Xbox 360 table releases up to Android, iOS, Kindle Fire and Mac.

• The 3DS version will be called Pinball Hall of Fame. This version will contain all of the non-emulated tables from both the Gottlieb and Williams collection. More information will be made available as it gets closer to release.

• The Wii U version is almost ready for submission to Nintendo. This is the final step FarSight needs to take to get The Pinball Arcade onto the eShop and into gamers hands.

• Xbox 360 Update : FarSight's contract with Fillpoint is now an asset of a bankrupt company, so they need both the consent of the creditors and the approval of the court to move the game to another publisher. The good news is that they are VERY CLOSE to getting court approval on a transfer. FarSight wishes it was happening faster (and they're more frustrated than consumers as they lose money every day the new tables aren’t available on the Xbox 360). But it will happen!

• Greenlight Update : In a recent talk at DICE, Valve President Gabe Newell indicated that the Greenlight process might soon be discontinued, opening the way for more games to be available on Steam. FarSight is very optimistic that The Pinball Arcade will be able to be released on Steam as a result!

• FarSight is still working on a PC beta build designed for Kickstarter backers. They are also exploring options for delivery and security.

• FarSight is submitting The Pinball Arcade to Microsoft for inclusion in the Windows 8 Marketplace. This version will be playable on all devices and desktops running Windows 8 including Surface tablets and phones.

• The Pinball Arcade will launch on OUYA, PC (with cabinet support), Wii U and Windows 8 (running on desktops, Surface tablets and phones) in 2013.

• FarSight plans on The Pinball Arcade being a launch title in the digital stores for any next generation consoles released later this year.

• FarSight is looking to add support for more peripherals, like 3D TVs and the iCade, and features such as more tournaments and online play

•.FarSight plans to announce the tables featured in Table Add-On Pack #12 once the screenshots are ready to post!

UPDATE Time to get back on track with more updates and the latest news on The Pinball Arcade!


• Updated the “Features, Additions And Improvements Coming In The Near Future” section.

• Some of the staff at FarSight Studios will be on hand at the 2013 Texas Pinball Festival, which is scheduled for March 15th-17th, at the Hilton Anatole at 2201 Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, Texas. They will be showing off every table released to date, up to and including Cactus Canyon and Central Park, on all supported platforms and devices.

• Android version 1.11.2 was released on March 6th and features Tales of the Arabian Nights unlocked for unlimited free play, Black Hole, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Theatre of Magic on sale for a limited time, a fix for the Nexus 7 compatibility bug and “The Big Shot” is now animated on Dr. Dude.

• To celebrate the one year anniversary of The Pinball Arcade on Google Play, FarSight is now offering Tales of the Arabian Nights for FREE on Android devices!

• The Pinball Arcade is currently #38 in Top Free Games and #76 in Top Free Apps on Google Play!

• FarSight is still waiting for SCEE to deliver The Twilight Zone Kickstarter redemption codes for backers who chose the PS3 (EU) and/or PS Vita (EU) as their platform(s) of choice.

• Table Add-On Pack #9 featuring Star Trek : The Next Generation should be available on PS3 (NA/EU) and PS Vita (NA/EU) within the next couple weeks.

• FarSight is looking to make an announcement for the next tournament soon.

• Tournament implementation for PS3 (NA/EU) and PS Vita (EU) is still in the works and should be included in a future title update.

• FarSight is still looking to submit the Wii U version of The Pinball Arcade to NOA and NOE as soon as possible.

• FarSight will be submitting The Pinball Arcade for Windows 8 very soon. They plan to release on all Windows 8 devices through it's marketplace.

• The PC version of The Pinball Arcade will feature resolution settings, an option to turn on/off HDR and other graphics settings.

• FarSight is still working on the Xbox 360 release issues. As soon as they get them cleared, they will make an announcement and will then focus on bringing the Xbox 360 up-to-date.

• Centaur is onsite at FarSight Studios and is currently in development.

• Pinball Arcade Fans moderator Jeff Strong will be conducting an interview with Bobby King (Lead Designer at FarSight Studios) on March 12th and should have the MP3 uploaded later that same day...Xbox 360 and/or PC update forthcoming??? Stay Tuned!!!

UPDATE RELEASE DATES SET for Star Trek : The Next Generation, Attack from Mars and Genie on PS3 (NA/EU) and PS Vita (NA/EU)...plus, FarSight makes an OFFICIAL STATEMENT regarding the Xbox 360 publishing issues!

• Table Add-On Pack #9 featuring Star Trek : The Next Generation should be available for PS3 (NA) and PS Vita (NA) on March 19th and PS3 (EU) and PS Vita (EU) on March 20th.

• Table Add-On Pack #10 featuring Attack from Mars and Genie should be available for PS3 (NA) and PS Vita (NA) on March 26th and PS3 (EU) and PS Vita (EU) on March 27th.

• FarSight's official statement on the Xbox 360 publishing issues is as follows :

"We are still waiting for the bankruptcy judge to rule that the new publisher take over our original contract with Crave. That is what is holding the whole process up, and we don't know when they will because they keep telling us 'soon'. We are hoping for this to be settled and over with, as we want to put everything out on the 360 asap, not to mention the kickstarter backers that we owe tables to. Until the judge comes back and rules one way or the other, we're stuck in the middle."
