At least I can stop trying to get FCM working for now.
I did get direct launching of tables working in my cabinet using Pinball Arcade Loader:

I am using PinballY front-end to display backglass images or videos during play on a...
Hi, for jollies I re-installed Pinball Arcade from Steam yesterday. It is 1.71.33. I've downloaded FCM v2.06 from here and from the Pincab Passion link. Bit compare proves they are the same executable. I can't generate an offline data file. The Pincab Passion link has a file but I get the...
Not me. I've invested enough in hardware. Why pay $ for software whose feature set is so much less than the open source alternatives? No animated back glasses, no force feedback, no support for real DMD, few user adjustments, easy physics, etc.
I'm not here trash TPA. It looks good and it's fun...
The controller I have taped on the HotRod is a Microsoft Sidewinder game pad. It has a built-in accelerometer. Works pretty well. Some cab builders still use it. It's many years old, but you might still be able to find something on eBay.
Funny, the setup looks a little like my first test bed

At least, the HotRod anyway. All of the technology is stuff that is ten years old or much older.
My AutoHotkey script for PFX2 is here -

PinballX launches the script and is responsible for displaying backglasses.
ffmpeg captures, streams, and plays back the DMD image...
The handle for the guy from pinballbulbs.com is BigBoss or markmon. Don't know much about this product, but he's a solid contributor to the virtual pinball community.
I use ffmpeg to capture and stream in real-time to a second window via the localhost network feedback interface. All is launched and controlled with an AutoHotkey script that I wrote.
I have a Pinball 2000 style virtual cab. I developed the script for Pinball FX2. Although Zen does provide a...
I used a HotRod for ten years to play Visual Pinball. Mapped the right joystick down to plunge the ball.
My very first test bed for a cabinet used a HotRod SE and an old Microsoft Sidewinder game pad. It has a built-in accelerometer for analog nudging and a lot of builders have used it for...
Don't have a link, but you can google Vichay for a spec sheet. They might also lost local dealers. I think VirtuaPin has the model number you would use to lookup.
They are 8-way Super Happ clones. So, not exactly like the real thing. You can always swap for a 4-way or install a restrictor plate if you want more genuine action.
