New beta is up with fixes for purchasing.

I also reset all the purchase info, so please restart.

I know kimkom was experiences crashes, if any of you do, please post the log.txt. I don't think it fixed the crash, but the output should help me figure out what the issue is.

I'm aware that the purchase/unlock button at the end of a trial mode in a table isn't working right. Fixing that now.

Mike log.txt file seems to indicate purchase success, although I never see any Steam related screens. Perhaps it's working but just hanging on the TPA purchase screen?

I've been able to reproduce. What appears to have happened is it started the purchase, but the steam dialog didn't show up, so it's waiting on input there before doing anything else.

Yes, that's the impression I get. The FPS counter still flickers and TPA shows as 'running' in Task Manager. But it sticks on TPA purchase screen and no further input works from keyboard, controller or mouse.

I can ALT/TAB okay but no other dialogs or windows present. Checked ZoneAlarm Firewall... program controls for TPA all set to trusted.

I also have a lot of games already purchased in my Steam library.

Signing off...

It is the dialog not showing. Not sure why, I have a tech support question into Steam for this.

purchases went through properly and I was able to get both season packs in one session. Each season unlocked the one it purchased no problems.

So far so good. Not noticing any serious issues so far except for no achievements appearing to be added for Victory and Class of 1812 (or indeed anything post Table Pack 15).

There's no documented limitation for Steam achievements (unlike PSN or Xbox) so I believe that the usual achievements should be added with each new table pack on Steam.

As a side note, instead of using an ingame purchase like TF2, the purchases should be done using the regular Steam store DLC path (especially the season packs).

I can understand if this isn't possible due to the way the game is designed. It's just something to think about.

Such a quick update from .024 to .025, I sense there was self initiated forehead slapping on this one? Jesting aside, keep up the good work so you can fully release and take my money

At the screen where you can buy Class of 1812, it asks to buy Season One. I would assume that should be Season Two?

Once you access the purchase menu for a table, hitting escape should close the menu. Instead it simply activates whichever button is currently highlighted.

Rebooting my PC seemed to fix the dialog not showing up. Let me know if that works for you.

(Not a beta user)

I am surprised that is how it is being handled. Granted there would be a huge amount of DLC flooding the store with all of the different options to purchase the packs (regular, pro, regular season, pro season, etc...), but it could make gifting possible. Though TPA Steam is still going to be using its own user system, I guess that could be why they went with the way they did their table purchases. It would of been possible with the DLC method if it just used Steam's user system, but I am not sure if FS decided on this or that.

In addition to this, Steam also has its own infrastructure for leaderboards and community features. Given this, the only logical reason that FS would use their own login system is if they plan on releasing TPA on GOG.com or the Humble store.

As was discussed long long ago FS will not ever be releasing TPA on any distributor that is not in any way copy-protected in some form. This discussion happened a lot and because of their licensing agreements Steam was the only route, IIRC.

this is likely why everything is run through the TPA application itself and not through Steam as a DLC add-on.

I purchased season pack 1. But then when I went into season pack 2 and tried to purchase it, it showed the table 1 pack and not table pack 2.
It shows the correct tables but when you go to purchase the table, it shows season pack 1 instead of season pack 2.
It wasn't like this for all tables. I was able to "purchase" season pack 2 going through another table. So it is only some tables that the language needs to be changed at the minimum to show that it is table pack 2 and not pack 1. I say minimum because I didn't purchase it. Maybe it was really season 2 disguised as season 1. So either the link is wrong and or the text is wrong.
Thanks for T2. Plays awesome.

Sorry, see Kevin posted similar problem already.

Is there a way to reset our purchases so I can test the purchase menu system again?

Getting this error when using the configuration tool on Windows 8.1

1zp6xqo.jpg

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to my SSD crashing, This version was a fresh install.

I got the same error when running the config tool the first time. When I ran TPA the second time, I chose to play the game and the config tool came up and it ran from there, the error hasn't happened since. Perhaps the config wasn't completely written at that point hence the initial error?

I'm also on 8.1
