I've occasionally noticed that "magnet effect" on other tables too actually. Can't remember specifics but there have been quite a few times where it seemed to me the ball's path curved for no apparent reason as it rolled down towards the flippers...makes me wonder if there isn't an underlying issue with the physics somewhere.
