No High Speed, Jack Bot, Banzai Run, or Grand Lizard in the top 10. :( I like all the top 10 tables, but would so like to see many of the other tables on TPA too.

I'm quite satisfied with the results of the Williams poll, considering that six of my picks made the top ten: Diner, Fish Tales, Cyclone, Black Knight 2000, Red & Ted's Road Show, and Earthshaker. My four other picks that didn't make the cut were Hurricane, Jokerz!, Time Warp, and Fire!. I would have really liked for Hurricane and Jokerz! to have made the top ten as well, but you can't win them all, I suppose.

I wouldn't mind seeing all these Williams tables in TPA these tables all deserved attention much like all the williams tables of the early 80'a till when they disbanded. Much more so than Gottlieb and Bally IMO. Yeah it's only My opinion.

There are so many good ones in this poll.

It's criminal that we only got to pick ten.

I say take the top 15 of both this and the Bally poll and cut the Sega/DE/Gotlieb polls down to a top 5.

I mean just looking at 10-15:

Jack Bot (best in the series)
High Speed (absolute classic Ritchie)
Banzai Run (lawlor)
Swords of Fury (cult classic)
No Fear (Richie, DMD)

Now look at the Gotlieb poll, where Street Fighter 2 made top ten...

Agreed. Indeed, I'd like the top 25 of the Williams, and you could take even more away from Sega/DE/Gottlieb.

I'm assuming that any pin included in these polls has a shot of being made. I mean is there that big of a quality difference between a pin that finished number 3 compared to a pin that finished number 12? You can make a good argument for just about all of them. Besides, popularity isn't the only factor used by FS to select a pin. Historic value, availability, cost (licenses too), rarity, and other factors must surely also factor in somewhere. Heck, some great pins didn't even make the polls. Pin Wiz only hade 30 slots for each poll. He had to trim off some good pins just to make the polls.

Agreed, Kolchak. That's an important point to emphasize. I'm quite aware (and thankful) that FarSight takes more into account than these polls. Popularity in an internet poll matters, but so does expense, historic significance, availability of the real-life machine, ease of emulation, difficulty to re-create playfield features, and on and on. I'm only hoping that to the extent that FarSight does allow these polls to influence their future table choices, that they don't view each of the six polls equally. The 30th best Williams table would probably be in the lower half of the top 10 of the Sega/DE/Gottlieb SS tables.

If another poll would be organised, would it not be more accurate, instead of presenting the reader with a selection of tables, to ask to input for instance three names of tables. Basically now the selection is already skewed by the pre-selection of tables. May'be some new more original tables would pop up...

True, but that might be more of a pain to organise. If the polling software allowed additions from people other than the poll creator I think that would achieve what you're looking for.
