I'm guessing that because the title 'Phantom Of The Opera' had fallen into the public domain after having been the property of Leroux (and it possibly helps that our version is only a foreign translation anyway) it would've been up for grabs, so Andrew Lloyd Webber could apply to make it his own property in order to protect the musical. That in turn would've meant anybody using the brand would have to buy the rights to use it, regardless of wether the resulting product had anything to do with the musical. The good news I suppose is that this would be a cheap license, otherwise a pinball company wouldn't have paid for it just to release a game which obviously didn't rely on it.

I didn't choose Apollo 13 just because I thought a 13 ball multiball would melt my iPad.

Oh I'm not saying most people didn't vote for it because it was a great pinball. Like I said, I've never played it. I just thought a lot of people would've voted for the novelty value just to see what it was like, that's all.

I'm honestly surprised that IJ doesn't have an even higher percentage, like somewhere between 85-90%. I would have also expected TSPP and LOTR to be around 80%..

I think there are those that said the table wasn't that good. the only alluring aspect is the 13 ball mutiball. I've seen the table in action. Nothing stands out other than the 13 ball mutiball.

Never played Simpsons other than visual pinball. I can see the allure only cause the simpsons have been on TV for a long time and can be considered Iconic. That said I'm glad that the LOTR and IJ is up there. Come on FS!!!!!!!!! Get those licenses for these tables. I want! I want! I want! I want!

Why are there so many more people voting in this than the Bally poll? 400 voters already.

I still haven't voted. I'm going to take the current standings into consideration.

Surprised at BttF. Never hear much about that one good or bad. Not one I care for but I am guessing the awesome license carried it. Star wars gets lots of egatives so I while I am not surprised it being in the top 5, I am somewhat surprised it is as high as it is.

Very disappointed to see Johnny mnemonic and Congo are so low. I wasn't expecting them to be running away but they are easily two f the best tables on here. Just bad movies.

Also surprised flintstones usually gets good buzz so I thought it would have way more votes.

Twice as many votes for Back To The Future than Johnny Mnemonic? Disgusting!

Edit: and almost as many as The Shadow? I'm gonna throw up.

Agree with Crawley on Elvis. There is one at a bowling alley not too far away. I just want to keep putting quarters into it. It got one of my votes. Elvis is my Dad's music but this pin rocks!

Normally I don't care too much about a table's theme but in this case I dislike Elvis so much that if they made it this would probably be the first TPA table I wouldn't buy.

Well perhaps what Pin Wiz mentioned. Also there may be more recognizable licensed tables like LOTR, IJ, TSPP and others in this poll.

Bally had 330 -
Williams poll had 360 -
EM poll had 212 -

I'm surprised TSPP is ahead of LOTR!
That said, I'd probably find a digital version of TSPP much more fun than the real table.

I originally made the comment that "I'm surprised LOTR is ahead of TSPP!" I had a brain fart and meant to type IJ, not LOTR. I have since edited my original post to reflect what I meant to type. :)

Its a shame that nightmare on elm street and Elvis are doing so badly I want those so much, but oh well what with so many great tables coming out at such a nice steady pace I can't really complain because either way were going to have more than enough awesome pins. Wish the poll results had kept private though I feel like someone has created a bunch of fake accounts to vote up their favorites
