...One thing I've always disliked about playing real pinball tables, is the huge gap between the flippers. Whoever designed the standard, should've been shot.

These tables are worth every penny of 5$! That's like a pack if cigarettes if you're lucky where you live!

People used to say that 5$ for 2 was such a bargain, and that they'd gladly pay 5 for one. But then people got a little spoiled.

I forsaw this a while ago, you can check an old thread I made years ago that forsaw 5$ for one, once the rerelease stuff was done with.

Not trying to toot my own horn ... Well maybe a little XD

Achievements or "trophies" don't mean a thing to me. I stopped caring in like 2008. That said, some do care but ask yourself, really, why do you play games, for the enjoyment or for some imaginary "you're the best!" Medal. When you play pinball in real life, do you get mad that a message doesn't pop up in the bar that says "achievement recieved". Do you expect someone to walk up to you and hand you a bronze trophy for making the top score.

Store Update released, but no TPA DLC. Another Letdown. Business as usual with FS...

So, my patience is finished. Thursday and there is still nothing updated, no new tables, no official statement from FS about this delay....

Just spend the last Euros from my PSN account to buy new tables-set for Zen Pinball. Just a frustration-deal, not convinced about Zen, but so frustrated about TPA.

On Facebook - Never did join Facebook, but you can look at at least one page - they (FS) say that it is with Sony. No comment about a late submission or anything, just that it was with Sony. They said this on the 22nd btw.

RBION flippers and I think Monopoly's are closer together! Both Pat Lawlor games and good ones at that.
I own both real games and must measure the Monopoly machines to confirm, one day?

P.s. If you whinge about the price to buy, go and find a real machine especially a classic like these guys are reproducing. It's not that much.
P.p.s yeah bugger about the EU/ AUS updates, oh well.

Europe always comes a few weeks after the US.

I'm sorry that you decided to punish yourself with those awful Zen tables in the interim.

I like ZP on the PS4. The physics seem to have been tweaked some since PFX2 on the 360 (I own all but Super League Football on the 360). Some of the shots in Earth Defense and Wolverine that I had trouble with on the 360 are actually do-able on the PS4.

That said, TPA has been ineffectively handled on the PS4, by both FarSight and Sony. I actually enjoy the PC version of it (even with low-end video card) more than I do the PS4 version. After the news of the "massive 360 update", I've been playing more of the 360 version lately too. Sound and overall playability make all the difference here.

No! Europe doesn´t follow always a few weeks after the US. Whether it´s Battlefield 4, Killzone....every update and DLC comes at the same time, just a few hours delay, maybe.
TPA is the first time for me, having such a delay. And the best, you get all the relevant information about this ex post. And that, after waiting nearly half a year for updates and new tables on the PS4.

Talking about ZEN? I dont´t think it´ a self punishment. The tables and the whole gameplay can´t be compared with TPA. ZEN offers Fun-tables, with unrealistic gameplay. TPA, which I like much more, is a simulation of real-life-tables. But the old tables of TPA are getting a little boring, so I decided, combined with a lot of rage about FS, to give ZEN another chance. ZEN will never replace TPA for me, but for a while, I can´t stand TPA anymore.

I don´t want to get treated like second-class customer, you got me!

I think ZP is great. It may be heresy to say so here, but I think Zen has the better physics, by a long way too: FS physics still seem floaty and bouncy to me as if the ball isn't really part of the table, whilst in Zen it is most certainly part of the table, and the different surfaces it encounters are way more realistic than equivalent FS collisions.

Guys, I know that 90% + of you will not agree, and that's fine. I'm just mentioning that now I've made my personal physics comparison statement, I will not go on to fight you all about it in a protracted dual of posts ;)

Er, have you ever played a real table Vince? I know which game is more accurate physics wise. That zen ball has to be made of lead, it often stops dead in its tracks going up a ramp. I like the spin though !

This is such a specious argument. If somebody says "man, Need For Speed sucks", nobody responds with "YEAH, BUT THINK HOW MUCH $$$$$ A REAL PORSCHE COSTS!!!!!!!" It's such a fail in logic to say we should accept the pricing of what Farsight is doing because a real table is so expensive.

I remember differently I'm afraid, there were major hints towards Addams Family while they were doing the T2 Kickstarter as good as saying it was looking much more likely that it could be done and even saying things about any money leftover from the T2 Kickstarter would go towards it, there were many hints towards it as the Kickstarter was stuggling to meet it's target, it looks to me like it was just a load of bull to make sure T2 got the backing it needed, I'm sure I'm not alone in remembering al this.

They mentioned that extra money from the kickstarter would go to other tables...they didn't get much extra money on that kickstarter, in fact, it barely made it by the deadline.

Then again, we don't even have a friend leaderboard. You can knock the trophy thing all you want, but people want a way to be competitive with one another.

Sometimes the game is not enough, it's the point of the game.

Hey, here's Golden Eye, but you can't play with anyone!
Hey, here's a Deck of cards, but you can only play solitaire!
Hey, here's a Lamborghini, but you can't show anybody!

But there are leaderboards, which allows you to be competitive with everyone. Friend leaderboards would just be restrictive compared to that.
If the game itself isn't enough, then gaming may just not be a very good hobby for you.

You can play against other people...soon maybe online too.

The Kickstarter is still there with all the posts and comments so you can search through all the content for anything the company posted that confirmed it was going to be created. I did a quick perusal of the comments with "Addams" in it and all comments were from posters and nothing from the company. The only official thing that came out during that time was a mention in a podcast that they were pursuing the Addams Family license. So other than that I'm not sure where the "many hints" were. But after that podcast it seems a lot of commenters on the Kickstarter took it as gospel the table was going to happen. There's quite a few comments with that sense of expectation.

It still may happen but there's a fine line between "pursuing" and its definitely going to happen.

SLOWCLAP

It's not heresy to like ZP. Honestly I don't understand how people can only like one thing and by that logic then everything else similar but different is garbage in their eyes.
It's like people that take part in the PS3 vs XBOX360 debate, when they are two of the closest matched consoles ever to compete against one another. Zen pinball has some great aspects to it's physics and flipper behaviour. Not always realistic but predictable and consistent. It was also somewhat believable in it's ball trajectory.

Er, have you ever played a real table Vince? I know which game is more accurate physics wise. That zen ball has to be made of lead, it often stops dead in its tracks going up a ramp. I like the spin though !

Have you ever played a real pinball table Daniel? You've never seen a failed ramp shot? Ramps are one of the things that TPA often fails at recreating.
Also. A ball that has more mass actually will keep it's momentum more than a ball that is lighter will...so it's more like the ball is too light, not heavy.

Sorry Dude, you interpreted the comment all wrong. More relevance should have been put on

FIND A REAL MACHINE IN THE WILD! Let alone a classic.

It is not too much to ask. I am very lucky to belong to a collectors and restorers club and get to see some very good examples of classic pinball machines. Most, can not. Be happy SOMEONE. Is bringing this to the public.
I must admit that it would be nice to have them cheaper, the world is based Around the almighty $ though.
I just want more, quicker.

It **is** a continent, but yeah I agree. LOL. :p

I have some Aussie musician friends and I was absolutely shocked when they told me what they pay for musical instruments there.
Still, not a bad place to live according to them.

Yes I have played a real table. In the UK it's difficult, but in the last year I've played Sega star wars, Stern batman, tron legacy, Elvis and pirates of the carribean, Williams hurricane, and dracula. Not all were in great condition though.
