After 75 tables, this is the first time I have no opinion. It's not bad enough for me to hate, nor good enough for me to like. I guess that's a five?

Personnally I dont like Gorgar.
But.. the fact that CBW is only 57th is proof that people have bad taste

Rich Lehmann Or maybe it reflects that your taste differs from the average voter on this poll on this particular table? I definitely like Gorgar more than say Cue Ball Wizard, but I can understand it is possible that people think the other way round.

Idk either. 768 entries seems like a lot. A typical poll on this site doesn't get nearly as many votes. Does every member and every lurker vote in this poll hosted by another site? Does this site even have that many different visitors?

Also: Bobby has stated that Big Shot is consistently in the top ten tables played every month. But Big Shot is in the bottom 1/3. So why are so many people playing this table if the general population thinks it is just meh?

Maybe the moderators have an overview on how many different forum users there are, and how many are active posters. I have the impression that there is a minority of very active posters, and that that group can be a bit daunting to newbie posters. I sure had that in the beginning, although I must say that I more often than not got friendly responses.

Yes, and don't forget for how long the poll exists. A lot of voters probably don't even play any more. You will notice the older tables have a lot more votes than newer tables. Even Addams Family only has 273 votes and this table is out since more than 1,5 years.

I voted once in the beginning and I don't think I ever updated my vote. So all the newer tables added at a later point don't have a vote from me.

If someone is voting today, they will probably vote for all tables which they have today.

Also: Bobby has stated that Big Shot is consistently in the top ten tables played every month. But Big Shot is in the bottom 1/3. So why are so many people playing this table if the general population thinks it is just meh?

This is not a representative survey by any means. It doesn't reflect the opinion of the average player type of this game. It might not even be representative for this forum.

Maybe the moderators have an overview on how many different forum users there are, and how many are active posters.

I can't see how many users are active posters (or I just haven't found it yet ;-) ).

Typically forum users are more active players (or have been at some time), but they are not by far the majority of all players. But I think most players who register at a fan forum for a game are more passionate for the game than the average player. This often leads to strong opinions about the game, about content, quality etc.

I have seen a lot of gaming related forums, and this one is really quite a friendly one.

I would say that there is some bias against older tables that many players have; I also speculate that many of the more hardcore pinball players appreciate the simplicity of the older tables.

I noticed that EBD is doing pretty good in recent polls, perhaps because some of the more casual pinball players are no longer interested.

I too get a bit triggered seeing a bunch I like at the bottom of the list
I like Central Park, Genie, El Dorado, Fireball, Fire Power, Phantom of the Opera, Gorgar, Big Shot, Space Shuttle, Black Knight 2000...

Guess they are just 'underrated'

Because he's counting a different metric. He's counting either games played or times launched. Which are both inflated for Big Shot compared to gameplay time because the games last only a few minutes.

Will you be adding the Stern Pinball Arcade tables?

Oh, that's a good question. I guess I won't, since they're in a separate game and that could be confusing for some people. Also it's a game I don't plan to play or install, so...I guess I'd rather just stick to TPA! ^_^

You are missing out. Even at twice the price, AC/DC and Star Trek are better than anything TPA has put out in months, except maybe Dr. Who.

Star Trek might be the best table they've put out all year, for me.

Dr. who should be in the top third, Gladiators in the bottom third.

In real life I only played Star Trek a couple of times with its first release code and I wasn't all that impressed. But I have to agree it is now fantastic. AC/DC is also top notch. Both have deep enough rules to keep you busy for a long time. I also like Mustang more than HHBoy. Not as good as Trek or AC/DC, but definitely worth the price. But the other re-releases don't really add anything from their original TPA release in my opinion.
I'm only speaking of the iOS version as it is the only one I have played.
