The patch *almost* fixed flipper lag for me. I tried RBION, MM and MB and there's a bit of lag when playing in 1080p.
Will try playing in 720p later this weekend, but for now I'm very pleased. The tables look great btw!

So, what is the overall opinion? Does the patch work or not?

Before heading off to work today I queued up all my previous TPA purchases for redownload at the Playstation Store, and downloaded the patch. Wasn't able to check if it worked or not, though.

@Lykaion23

What exactly is the problem? What happens when you try to download updated pack via game menu, and what version did you previously purchase (basic/pro/pro upgrade)?

It works for me. I downloaded a few tables via the psn store and tried them outwithout any problems.

@ omisnad

I own the tablepack 7 in pro upgrade. After the Patch PSN Store says I own the pro-upgrade but didn't own the basic, so I should pay 4,99€ a second time or 7,99 € for the pro version. Problem is in update option from within the game and in the store version(store from console and through PC).

In that case i would first suggest try to redownload the basic version via your download history. The pack was released Feb 12, 2013 i think if that helps you locate it. That should work. Then redownload the pro upgrade.

Let me know if that works for you. If it doesn't then there's something else we could try ...

Okay, so here's my problem, after getting the patch on both PS3 and PS Vita, and re-downloading all of the necessary tables directly from the PSN, the following tables still prompt to be updated:

Pinball Arcade broken DLC:

PS3

Attack from Mars/Genie
Medieval Madness/Bride of Pin•Bot
The Champion Pub/Whirlwind
Class of 1812/Victory
Cue Ball Wizard/El Dorado: City of Gold
Dr. Dude/Firepower
Twilight Zone

PS Vita

Medieval Madness/Bride of Pin•Bot

This is far from being "all good", as omisnad puts it, and trust me, I have spent around six to seven hours downloading, re-downloading, deleting, trying again, and nothing is working.

I bought all tables as Pro, so am unable to download just the basic tables from anywhere, PSN or purchase history.

So I'm guessing the best choice is to either wait on the correct files for the listed tables to be uploaded, or do a complete delete and reinstall?

The patch initially completely broke the PS Vita version, it refused to boot up, and I had to do a hard shut down to get it to run.

And I'm not even going to start on the issues with the 3D, as I believe they're being documented elsewhere, and that Farsight are aware of them, but when it works, it works, but when it doesn't, or entire elements of the HUD are missing for one eye or the other, it's almost painful!

@BBIAJ

Sorry to hear that. I only bought table pack 7 as a pro version, all my other tables are basic. I would try a complete delete and reinstall - thats the only way i got pro table pack 7 working on the vita. Maybe for now, we can say its all good as long as you dont have any pro tables. :rolleyes:

To me, its seems as if it is best to do a clean install then download the tables 'new' rather than 'updated'. The store is pretty patchy though - sometimes it would think i had downloaded all the packs only for it to find some more after a restart.

That, said it is entirely possible that the dimwits @ SCEE have not updated the effected DLC. Although is that were the case then everyone else with those pro packs would be suffering the same fate.

Unfortunately i don't have a 3d tv (YET?!?!) - the wife wont let me LOL. So i cant comment on that ...

Just wait for Sony to sort it out, don't put yourself through any more pain. Given Sony Europe's history with TPA packs (putting them up early when the game hasn't had the patch to recognise them, putting them up after weeks of delays, not marking them as free for season pass holders), I think it would have been silly for us to assume they would get this right first time. Especially considering how averse they usually are to DLC patching.

No worries! Yeah, I think I'll try deleting the problem tables individually first, then trying the core base pack, and failing that, the entire thing!

Not looking forward to how long that will all take, but what can you do?

Or I might just wait, as Espy says.
