The latest update broke the game! It worked fine last night, now I try to start a game and I get a "starting pinball arcade" box which fades for 5-10 seconds, then reappears, then fades again, repeat ad nauseum, but the game never loads! Even after checking the file integrity and replacing 6 bad files, it still didn't work! What's going on?

Weird uncapped frame rate bug now if you come out the app then go back in, the physics feel like the ball is made of lead and all the light sequences are super fast.

Config utility still mismatches list of displays with their respective lists of resolutions resulting in silent crash at launch on Windows 8.1 - current config utility is 100% unusable on my system which has 3 monitors on two video cards, one monitor is rotated to portrait layout.

Contact me if I can help troubleshoot or test.

Plunger fix is nice - thanks for the fast turnaround!
Did anything get done to flippers in Junk Yard? Seems to work better, but could be me.

Diner is good fun. I did notice these differences relative to the real-life Diner I own:

Physics: The ball is overall a bit too fast and lacks mass, although my real life machine needs new rubbers, so that may account for part of the difference.
Physics: The ball goes around the ramps WAY too fast--comically fast. It should take a while to come down the cash register habitrail and left ramp.
Physics: The bumpers seem overpowered relative to real life, and/or the ball lacks mass/inertia to resist their force.
Physics: The plunger's spring is weaker than the one on my unit.
Physics: The cup seems to retard the ball a bit more than real life.
Sound: When I got a match, I didn't hear the Arriba! speech.
Sound: Too heavily low-pass filtered.

I initially thought that the E-A-T lights ought to rotate in either direction, but I went back and played mine, and right-only rotation is a feature on the real machine, too. :)

One problem common to all machines is that roll-under wire gates (such as the one half way up the cup ramp in Diner) look like they're swinging through molasses when they slowly return to their resting positions.

On the plus side, the couple tables I tried it on no longer have the "pre-plunging doesn't strike the ball" bug. I'll have to try it on more tables.

Bug: Diner is pixelated as get out on my machine:

No, that's not bad image compression, that's what I see on my screen. Look at the habitrails and the guests' faces and compare it to the HUD.

Windows 8.1, GeForce GT 650M, display driver version 337.88. PP is on, screen resolution is native, AAx16. Tried Linear, Anisox16 and texture filtering turned off. Turning AA off does not make any difference.

The problem vanishes almost completely when I turn off PP which is a shame because I love the blinding lights, even though they were turned down during the beta.

Bug: Game freezes for 30-90 seconds when choosing an unpurchased table on the selection screen

During testing of the first bug I encountered that selecting and hitting enter on Diner completely freezes TPA for 30-90 seconds. The start button would stop blinking, the "press shift-tab for Overlay" toast would freeze while fading out and even alt-tabbing wouldn't work. I assume during this time the app tries to contact Steam and/or the FarSight servers to see if there is a license for this table connected to the account. Mashing arrow buttons after 30 seconds might have helped, but I might've imagined that. There was a 5-10 second delay before but not as bad as this.

Hey FS, very nice table! Great art.

There is still somome zfighting isues when played in portrait. The usual places: instruction cards, ramp flaps (especially in the cup), and decals (cash register, jukebox lights).
But overall great looking.
Thanks for the plunger fix, have been silently waiting for this. VPlunger native support would be great though. You own one, right?

Still waiting for propper cam on portrait, ps4 lights, and pindmd2 support.

Diner is cool enough, never played it in RL, but certainly looks and feels like fun. And yes, thank you FS very, very much for fixing that plunger! It isn't 100% yet, but compared to how it was, it's fantastic! Nice job!

The plunger fix broke high speed's plunger btw. now a full plunge doesn't go up the ramp (and it's supposed to always).

The TPA version has always had a problem were the ball doesn't go up the ramp a small percentage (say, 10-20%) of times, but it seems like it's greater now. Not quite half, but it's definitely more frequently than before.

Ball Reflection Config issue

Setting the ball reflection state in PBAConfig only has effect on the primary ball. Secondary/Captured Balls, such as...
-Orbs (Captive Balls) in TOTAN
-Crane Ball on Chain in JunkYard
-Possibly Gumballs in Twilight Zone (Hard to say 100% on this one)
These secondary balls seem to always display a static level of reflectivity independent of the user preference.
