TPA PS4 US launch countdown!

My audio on the digital version is not scratchy. You may want to delete and download again or reboot or something because it's not a problem across the board.

Rebooting solved my pro pack problem, but the audio is still very poor. It's hard to explain, but the audio sounds concentrated toward the center speaker channels. It sounds very muffled compared to the audio I normally hear on my PS4. Are you absolutely certain that the audio quality on TPA is the exact same for you as your other PS4 games? Heck, I can even hear the transition in audio quality when just switching back into the PS4 UI.

Doing this from work through the web based store. It said PA was FREE. I am assuming this means they're doing what they did with steam -- giving the game free but just with TOTAN. Is this right? I'll be home in 4 hours (and I don't have my Vita with me dammit...heh)

I have not yet seen the season one pack (non-pro) as a standalone option for purchase (discounted or not).

Well, I've bought EVERY table on the PS3, and it's not showing the discount for me. Just the PS+ discount. Still shows as $26.99.
Maybe I need to do this directly from the PS4 instead of the website?

I'm having the same issue but I'm doing it in-game. Also just going to the PS Store directly has the same issue.

Scratch that. The pro packs are still bugged. Sometimes the pro mode option will appear in the menus, but it disappears at random. This is definitely a bug. Haven't resolved the low-quality audio issue yet, either.

If you select the discounted bundle in the store, there should be a thing you can click on the left side of the screen on the bundle's page that says "tell me more" and it will tell you why that version is unavailable to you. Uh and needless to say, make sure you're looking at the discounted version, it's separate from the non-discounted version (which yes is very confusing!).

I got the Pro bundle and can say that I'm not having either the sound problem or the tables not showing up problem you've been reporting. If nothing else works I suppose you could always try deleting and re-downloading the game.

I've never witnessed such a delayed product in my life. Is this the actual game? Sitting here waiting for 2 years? Cause there hasn't been a whole lot of highly-anticipated pinball going on... PS4 so far is seriously not cool.

The audio quality is NOT the same as my other PS4 games. But it's the same as TPA on the PS3. Pinball machines have mono sound. Even the ones with two speakers. FarSight copied the sound from the sound boards on the actual machines then compressed them to fit on mobile platforms. They use the same sound for all platforms. So, its a compressed, mono sound but it is what it is. You first posted that it sounded scratchy. It shouldn't sound scratchy. It might only play in the center speaker since its mono depending on how your system is setup. Try playing in a stereo matrix setting to get the sound out to your main speakers.

TPA is so popular that it brought the PSN store down! I can log into the PS4 but when I go to the store it says there is maintenance now and to try again later.

I've confirmed the audio quality issue with a friend who owns a PS4. Also, somebody complained about it on TPA Facebook page, so this is definitely affecting more people than just me. I did have my speakers set to surround, so I'm going to try to force mono sound through every channel and see how that works. I can't comment on the audio quality of the PS3 port, because I've never played that version, but I can say that the PS4 port sounds significantly worse than what I've heard on the PC, iOS, and Android versions. I have a 5.1 setup on my PC, and I never experienced this issue with the PC port.

I've also pinpointed the pro mode issue to Scared Stiff. Pro mode seems to works just fine on the other tables, but it randomly appears/disappears on Scared Stiff. Not sure why. Other than that, the game works as expected.

Finally got in, and the 14.99 discounted pack was available to me. Doesn't stack with the PS+ discount, but I'm not complaining. Still had $5 credit so $10 for all of season one is great.

All PS4 disc-based games perform a full install to the HDD automatically when first inserted into the system. The size of the games + large amount of system ram are too much for the speed of blu-ray drives to stream data effectively. So far, all games do require the disc to still be in the drive when playing. If you launch a game without the disc in, it will ask for the disc to be inserted.
