There are some tables that I find an excercise in frustration because the ball seemingly has no friction on the table. Specifically Haunted House lately has been driving me crazy, but also Black Hole and many others named above.
Aside from the physics that needs help I keep wondering if adding...
I'm really curious what the package will look like. How many tables in the game when finished? How easy to add in user created tables (dealing with VP installs is a pain). Are there any VP designers already working with the tools so it launches w support?
It's OK for pinball. The two stage triggers aren't great but the haptics on plunger is awesome. I think I may make the grip buttons control the flippers as they are single stage w a nice feel.
Edit: this was in reply to a post that seems to have been deleted. Info still stands.
I like it so far. A serious learning curve. I got good with portal but 2d side scrolling is brutal to this point.
I think a few weeks and the custom bindinngs will be well mapped for most games and then should be less tinkering.
Just got one. No native support yet. I created a profile that requires analog triggers to be fully depressed (click) to move the flippers and increased haptics on those and the right analog for plunger if anyone wants to try.
Sorry if unclear...typing on mobile.
Meant to follow-up. Verifying files and gpu drivers did not resolve. Deleting local files and reinstalling did fix. I'm back in! Thanks for suggestions.
Valid point. Nothing malicious intended, though I can see where opening up for simple sound changes could allow for much more unsavory edits. Happy to allow the thread to go dark.
Agreed. I made some small progress in unpacking the .rez file for a table into three different .669 files. After opening them with a hex editor there is not much to decipher. I'm a bit stuck. I'm not the most technical person in the world but will keep digging and respond to the thread if any...
I've been wondering if there is any projects to mod the sfx on TPA. Love the game but the sound quality, especially mechanical like flippers, leaves much to be desired. Has anyone tried to figure out how and where sfx is stored? Is it possible to mod?
