Hmm could be. The "closer and closer" line I recognize from ST:NG as well:
Of course the next line after that is "...ohh nothing happened." So who knows!
So its good that they tackled the lighting. It looks better than before for sure. There's a new slider setting with the lighting - Chromatic Aberration. Turning it up will certainly make the lights glow a bit more. But at the cost of making things look a bit blurry at the higher settings. Seems...
If they did do a Star Trek table would imagine it's of the Discovery, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, or Prodigy variety - lower hanging fruit. The first three I'd be fine with. Particularly Lower Decks which could be fun poking fun at the classic series - or existing Star Trek pins. And...
Yeah noticed that too. Hopefully it means they can also make some Star Trek tables of their own. Or an Evil themed table might be fun with the paranormal. Survivor table?
That World War Z table seems pretty good. Have only been able to put in a few games, and had terrible games, but it feels...
If it's a licensed free table I would be fine with Cactus Canyon. Also want Bride of Pinbot at some point. If they do the enhanced version of Bride right, say really animate the face and other parts of the table rather than just throwing a 3D android on the table and calling it a day, that would...
Yeah in 2K I can't tell really any difference in quality from the Williams tables. Both FX3 and FX look sharp at that resolution. Only visual difference I'm seeing is with the lighting.
I do wish they went a bit more intense with the lighting though, particularly with any of the flashers...
So after the patch went back and ran the GPU monitoring again while playing Indy:
Max Temp (Before Patch + Ray Tracing): 69 (mainly sticking around 68)
Max Temp (After Patch + Ray Tracing)): 65 (Sticking around 64/65)
Max Temp Dying Light 2 (Ray Tracing): 67 (Mainly 65/66)
Max Temp (After...
Yeah people are right about the huge draw on your hardware. I ran some GPU monitoring, booted up Pinball FX played a game of Indy, then Elden Ring after. A bit of a difference there.
Max Temp Pinball FX: 69 (mainly sticking around 68)
Max Temp Elden Ring: 55 (mainly fluctuating between 45-53)...
Had an idea on how they make the subscription modal more palpable:
- Offer 120 tickets a month with the subscription price. This would allow a person at the end of the month (or year) to buy a few tables to own. It would also make that crazy $15 a month price more reasonable (100 tickets is $10...
The physics do feel a bit different. Like the ball is heavier. I played Safe Cracker in Pinball FX for awhile then switched over to FX3 and noticed the ball was a lot quicker/lighter in FX3.
I want to check what the FPS is on Pinball FX but not seeing a way to enable it in Epic Games launcher...
I'm betting its the minority that are behaving like morally outraged drama queens. And I'm also betting a fair number will download Pinball FX and at some point buy tables despite all the faux outrage.
The digital pinball community has had these complaint personality types since this forum...
Since it’s all in app purchases wouldn’t the only thing released on steam that would be purchasable be the premium licensed tables (Indy)? The ticketing system and prices would be handled on Zens end.
Still in for Indy and Noir. Most likely the other Williams tables.
Hopefully the Bethesda and Alien tables make it. Really the only other legacy tables I'm interested in purchasing again.
Pinball Pass pricing seemed like a miss. $15 a month or $100 a year. Would rather spend the $100 on...
The $15 does have me hesitating. But only because its going to come out on PinballFX too.
Has there been anything more specific said about PinballFX release other than "March" for Early Access?
Yeah if its Fire that will good. It's not a deep ruleset but I like the theme and find it a challenging game to play. They gotta get the bell sound right when you drain after scoring the multipliers. If you can't hear that bell dinging over the sound of all the other pins then its not done right.
On the one hand I'm glad that Zen isn't making the same mistake as Farsight by letting their engine become outdated after a bunch of years. But it also feels like its too soon. Will have to wait and see first hand to see how big/little a jump it is.
That being said I'm likely in as I'm a sucker...
That looks really good. Pretty solid lineup for tables. Only swap outs I would want would be Cirqus Voltaire and Theatre of Magic in place of Hurricane and Junkyard.
But going to wait till V2 of their virtual tables before plunking down. Hopefully V2 has wi-fi capabilities that also allows you...
