I haven't played TPA the last few years because, although I got some good advice here, I couldn't get a grip on it somehow. I think that I know why meanwhile. I bought a new TV some time ago, a LG Oled, that has a Game Mode and started playing again and noticed that I had hardly any lag now...
When I get a Multiball, I am inclined to flip wildly hoping that there accidentally are some good shots. Most of the times it ends in losing the balls very quickly.
Do you have any tips and/or is there a way to get more control over the balls ?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Sorry for starting another thread with regards to nudging, but I would like to know your opinions and/or thoughts.
Is it, with enough practice, possible to reach the final goal of a table without nudging, for instance the Grand Finale in TOM or Monster Multiball in SS, which are the tables...
Until now I find it impossible to nudge. My reactions are terribly slow. Before I realize that I have to nudge, the ball is already lost.
Of course that means that I have to practice a lot and maybe concentrate some time on only nudging. I already found a few threads here with helpful tips...
In my Steam inventory there are a number of Trading Cards, but it is not clear to me what I can do with them. I suppose that you can "trade" them, but what can I do with them myself ?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am not a gamer, except for TPA of course.
I read that 8 loops in the right ramp awards an extra ball, but has this to be done without interruption ? In other words successively or may a shot be missed in between ?
There is something I don't understand about the different camera views. When I start a table I can choose between 3 views (1, 2 and 3), but as soon as I am in the game I have 1 more, being 4. Why is this so, in other words why can't I choose 4 views from the start ? Or is something wrong with my...
As the title says already, it happened only once until now, but could this be a bug ?
I was at my 3rd ball, hadn't lost it yet (and had still an extra ball btw) and had to enter the crate for Stiff-O-Meter and then my ball had disappeared. The DMD kept saying Enter the Crate, but nothing...
Following the great advice given in another thread started by me ("Should I give up playing Pinball....?"), I concentrated some time on SS, because it is an easier table for beginners. And after some practicing I could start the Stiff-O-Meter, reach the 5th level and got 19.145.140 points...
Meanwhile I have played about 15 hours, mainly on my PC/TV, but I am still not able to play more than 10 minutes maximum (often even less) on a table before losing all 3 balls. It is really frustrating sometimes. Now I wonder if I should give up playing pinball games or keep practicing more. In...
Meanwhile I purchased the complete season 1 and 2 pro packs for pc. I already had Fish Tales.
In another thread I asked if it is possible to install TPA on more than 1 pc (and didn't get an answer yet), but I already read on the Steam website that it is allowed.
However I noticed that it is...
I have a few more questions and hope that someone can answer them:
1) In the table menu settings, what is the purpose of Event Camera and Multiball Camera ? Up till now I can't see a difference between Off and On. Or is this only working when the Camera is not locked ? ( I have the Camera on...
I have a small but irritating issue with my (Acer Iconia) tablet. Although it is related to playing TPA it has nothing to do with the game itself, so I post it under Off-Topic. Maybe someone knows a solution or what the culprit is ?
I play TPA in portrait position and have to rotate my screen...
I really enjoy TPA very much, but I never have played a real, physical, pinball machine and still have to master some basic techniques. Meanwhile I found a few nice tutorials on Papa.org here:
http://papa.org/play/techniques/
Every now and then I try to practice the techniques described there...
As I mentioned in another post, I started yesterday with TPA on my iPhone. I installed the free version and purchased the Pro version of the Tale Of The Arabian Nights table. Additionally I purchased Black Hole, Bride Of Pin Bot, Medieval Madness, Ripley's and Theatre Of Magic. Buying the...
After installing TPA on my iPhone 4S (with iOS7) yesterday and purchasing a few table packs as well, I also bought the iCade Mobile. I could find the option in the menu to enable it for the iPhone/iPod, it also was recognized as a Bluetooth device on the iPhone and I can play TPA with it. Being...
